As I said on the match thread, God help this board when we lose one, draw or even let a goal in. I'm baffled by some of the negative comments tbh.
Agree with you there. Don't think we really took a shot in the first half did we? Spent most of the half in that flipping corner flag only to lose the ball.
Wow, sorry col, no offence intended, but was just trying to say its pretty hard to pass comment on our performance and what works and what doesn't from possession and shot statistics. But I see your point though.
I'm not being critical Col, my worry is we're overdoing it. Barnsley were poor and by not pushing harder earlier we could have fallen foul of a break away goal. It was a definite penalty and we could have been one down at the break. It was a bit of luck that went our way. I'm sure we could have dominated with some earlier adventure.
"The visitors defended resolutely but rarely threatened and a dominant QPR were able to set a new club record of eight successive league clean sheets. Play media Rangers, who have moved three points clear of third-placed Leicester City following their defeat at Doncaster, had numerous chances to go ahead before the break. Richard Dunne saw an early header from Tom Carroll's corner cleared off the line by David Perkins and away goalkeeper Jack Butland made a fine double save to keep out Austin's strike and the follow-up attempt by Alejandro Faurlin." That was on the BBC sport page describing the first half. So we could have been 2 up at the break even with our supposed negative possession football?
Disappointing TBH and looked strangely off the pace compared to last week's master class. To be fair Barnsley did double team hin from the outset.
Ok have your say but fcuk me give it a rest we wasn't great but done enough, yes i'm convinced we can on & play better but at the moment i'm happy with results & thats what we want in this league, we've a strong defence & scoring more than opposition fact, still think charlie needs abit more help up front though & checa looked ok when he came on.
After 10 games, we have 26 pts, 7 pts ahead of Reading in 7th place, 10 pts ahead of Bournemouth in 8th place, plus a game in hand - also 1 pt more than our total for last season.
