Up to fourth in the table - unless Forest win at Brighton. A nice favour from Donnie who beat Leicester.
That was the fourth time David Webb has refereed a Watford game - and only the first in which he hasn't sent a Watford player off apparently.
Great game. Should have scored more (Deeney in particular should have had at least one) but I'll take the three points. Decided to stop over so just relaxing before heading out for a bite to eat. By the way, look out for the footy mag 24/7 Football. Great feature on cover star Zola.
Lucky Lucky Lucky.... Why you may ask? Because we were lucky not to give away an equalizer in the last 5 minutes + 6 of extra time after dominating much of the second half. PHEW!!!!! Great game..... we should have won at least 4-1 if not 5-1. Deeney missed a couple and FF did all the hard work in a great move and then shot straight at the keeper. Some great chanting and great support throughout the game Glimpsed W_Y but lost track of him in the crowd. He looks as good as his photos Anyway my first game of the season... and I shed a little tear for my step dad who I used to update with the scores during the match. Great little on pitch interview with Luther too at H-T
Cheers Dave, well well done to Dychey, great result for them and us. Would like to see Burnley go up as the second auto spot with us and for the haaaaaas wheels to come well and truly off soon..
Yes, perhaps. But then, as so often happens, we may have softened Huddersfield up and they will probably now go on to lose their next 3 home games by wider margins!
the wheels will come of Watford as you are too inconsistent, you will concede more goals than the teams around you
The wheels already are off - we're not playing well at all, but are still managing to win and still in the top 6. Pretty soon, we'll click as we did last year.....
As above outr wheels aren't all spinning yet and we are yet to get into gear. I doubt we'll concede more than those around us and believe we'll outscore everyone in this league so should be good come end of season. Nothing personal but I do dislike the hoops intensely, have done ever since the plastic pitch that dates me!!!
Should've had a few quid on that! Well done for getting back to winning ways with a much improved performance.
I dont see what the pitch has to do with disliking a team I would like to see QPR install a new artificial pitch when the new stadium is built Avoid cancelling games in winter and holding other events for extra income Artificial pitches are really good standard as well now
Been back and hour or so and had some supper...good performance in patches but some dire finishing. We have to make more of those opportunities to make sure we secure the 3 points and for my heart! Saw H and Dan and a good turn out from the travelling hornets - funny to see and hear the locals booing FF and accusing him of diving!
The pitch is just a date mark. There is no logic to disliking teams unless it's Luton oops censor that.... when yo can apply every logic, sh*t town sh*t team sh*t stadium sh*t airport hot bed of terrorism should be obliterated from the map
Well done to all those who made it up there today - did the orns proud. Have always been put off going to Huddersfield since I joined 200 odd in making the journey on a Wed night in the 90's when we lost 2-0 and don't believe had a shot on target Regarding Fessi it sounds like he had an excellent game as did most although I did fear the worst after 17 mins..... Would have been nice to have killed it off before the 6 mins of injury time too But all in all an excellent 3 points to go into the international break in high spirits. COYH ps. I hope this guy makes another cartoon for Fessi this year ..... http://www.htfc-world.com/ pps. With Faraoni suspended for Derby does anyone else think it may be worth playing Cassetti RWB? He is one of my favourite players from the Pozzo regime but seems to create a marmite feeling amongst many supporters (with more haters than lovers!). Whilst I admit that some of his errors have proved costly he is an outstanding technical footballer and is very good going forward and at set pieces. Maybe having him RWB will reduce the risk of a misplaced pass/getting turned too easily?
