aberdeen we should leave him there for a bit. Everyone has been in a bad mood because of transfers recently, he could be our stress relief
I seem to recall going to their old stadium some years ago with Norway. Was a desolate place and the stadium wasnt much either. Full of retired folk best sponsors for them would be Tena and Stenna.....
Ahhh brilliant comments. Why is he trying to "rise above us" as a Brighton fan? I remember going to the Withdean just before Brighton got relegated from the 2nd level. I couldn't remember what year it was, so I was tracing my football journeys back one year at a time ..... and then I got there - the end of the 2002/03 season. A full 8 years ago. Quite simply don't get too full of yourself mate - Amex own the stadium and Brighton are just tenants. I see Brighton are on the way up, a "bright manager" (AKA controversial) and 16,000 season ticket holders without a doubt they are on an upward curve, but how long will it last? When I see these clubs overtaking us in terms of strategy I have a good look at them. Just how firm are their foundations? In Brighton's case I'm really not sure - yes they have recruited John Stephenson, a good man who left us because .......... (not sure why). But honestly as I've maintained for a while - Malky can do so much better than a club like Cardiff IMO. I have no doubt that as Malky's stock rises he is better than Watford, who are undoubtedly on a downward curve, but what goes round comes round in football.
OK back to the original idea - Malky will undoubtedly leave us sometime in the next 12 months for a better club. When you look at how long managers reign at this level, if he lasts 3 years with us (following his period as assistant) then that would be stunning. But Cardiff, quite simply which players have they retained? The loanees have gone (all 8 of them), Bothroyd has left and the likes of Burke and Chopra are looking elsewhere. Frankly that leaves very little. So why does heavily indebted Cardiff seem so attractive?
Ah bless, the special one has returned - no way he should be moded, it makes you realise how lucky you are not to be so "special". Aberdeen - You forgot the other sponsor - SAGA!
