E.J. Manuel with an LCL sprain, out 4-6 weeks. So Freeman got 2 teams that might need his services as Tuel was unconvincing Thursday...

I still can't believe they did that.

Schiano just never liked him because he wasn't a real go getter, leader type of QB. He's blamed all the Buc's woes just on Josh it seems to me, I'd say the biggest problem is Schiano himself, he just gets out thought by opposing coaches, he will not change his plan to suit the situation.

I hope if Freeman does go to the Bills, Cleveland don't want him it seems, that he does well there. I didn't think I'd say this but I won't be too disappointed if we lose to the Eagles, if it helps to get rid of this megalomaniac and the Buc's can start preparing for next year.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was out for the whole season.

How do you rate your chances tomorrow night without Bradshaw? Can Richardson do it on his own or is Brown good enough to compensate?

I don't think it makes a huge difference either way. Brown is a decent relief back, but we're not seeing the best of Trent yet, but it's not a huge step down from Bradshaw at any rate. I don't think we had much of a chance with or without Bradshaw. Perhaps it's a bit less likely now.

Not NFL but I just put on ESPN and they're showing College Football and the score was something ridiculous like 63-0. What a hammering.

Also, it's pretty insane how huge College Football games are in America. Over here, you'd be lucky if there's more than 5 people watching any university level sporting event (and those five are all probably friends of soem of the players). Though I guess due to the relatively small numbers of NFL teams, the College Football system gives people who don't live near an NFL franchise the possibility of seeing a relatively high level Football game which might be why they're so popular. I guess it'd be like if the Premier League was the only level of soccer here, university soccer would be a lot more popular especially in places which don't have a Premier League team but as it is, there's dozens of professional football teams and you're never far away from one.

Kind of. University sports aren't popular because it's full of amateurs. College sports in the states are filled with the absolute best people of that age bracket. The difference in standard of play is huge.

There are many more factors too - history, traditionally fierce college loyalty etc etc, but yeah it's a lot of effort to go into it all.

The Army v Navy game is a classic, there was a good documentary about it a couple of years ago.

Blimey. I was looking at some Vikings ticket prices and the cheapest are like 17 dollars, which is pretty decent actually.

That'll be because they're ****, so are struggling to move tickets. The cheapest you'll get in other places can be upwards of 60 or 70 dollars, and that's right up in the gods.

Tampa must be virtually giving them away:(

Did anyone watch the Bengals documentary on recently?

It was quite moving, watching the lady ripping the players names, who were cut, from their respective jerseys.

Hard Knocks? They do that most years, it was Dolphins last year. Always interesting. My personal favourite ever moment was Antonio Cromatie (Jets CB) failing to remember the names of all his children.

I think it helps that most, if not all, college games happen on the Saturday, when there is no NFL action whatsoever. Whereas over here, there will always be something much bigger on during University events, such as Premier League or whatever.

Haha, good for you, I remember when I first played rugby more than 10 years ago, I was out for a week <laugh>
And this summer when I was in Sussex, I threw my first American Football, my first throw was a 29 yard complete pass but I still don't know how that happened.

Sad thing is that we Dutch don't do rugby or NFL, I just wished I was old enough to go to the Amsterdam Admirals when they still existed :emoticon-0106-cryin

That's not bad, I don't think I can throw a ball that far myself! OL for me.

But yeah it's a shame NFL Europe was such a financial disaster because I'm sure it'd have been fun.

Everyone watching the Redzone channel is going bonkers right now

Bengals sack Brady twice in their first possession, Jags score a running touchdown, Bears get torn apart and Wilson does two backflips at the same spot. Titans muff the punt and Chiefs recover it for a TD. This is insane!
