Felt both teams deserved the 0-0 draw in the end, barely anything created in match dominated by both Midfields... Stephens and Cousins had good games for us though.

Will give a proper view on the match later

    He was rubbish today Ken.

Not sure exactly what type of striker he is supposed to be ? He can't hold the ball up, doesn't make runs, and doesn't close down either

Powell said after the game there is no money for a new loan. We are in the brown apple sauce without Yann.

Pretty tedious game, plusses we defended well. Negatives we couldn't score in a brothel, Harriott does what he does runs into a dead end and gives the ball away. I felt that Stewart should have come on for him. Church does a Lot of running but no end product. Everybody tried hard, apart from Sordell, but we are lacking a bit of devil and quality.
If there is any money left, chuckle brother, can we send Sordell back and get another striker in on loan.

I like the look of Wood who is very steady and organises well. Also Jordan Cousins seems to have played at this level for years.

BUT WHERE ARE THE GOALS COMING FROM?

Vol. whatever the manager says about his cash flow I find quite tedious. We had no money under Lawrence, Gritt or Curbs but what they all did was encourage personality, there are no john Humphreys, no Steve Browns, no Richard Rufus, what I need to see is a leader a player who has the ability to lead and inspire. In short, we have no more heroes, it's all so characterless out there.

I know CP fans will disagree, but Sordell is beginning to look like a very poor loan signing. The strong word is that he didn't want to join us. You would never have guessed from his performances. Was any research done beforehand? He is cack. Agree that he is eating very little service, but he is going through the motions.

Church is also a real disappointment, a non goal scoring goal scorer if ever I saw one....

Bolton fans warned us about him in the summer. I had high hopes that CP would turn him into something usefull, but it seems not to be happening. I'd send him back to Bolton, but then we have even less players availible. Man we are in the sauce big time!

I would make him run back to Bolton but judging by his acceleration and turning speed that will mean him not getting back to Bolton until he is 48.

Lazy disinterested and sulky reminds me of a easy jet stewardess.

did anyone see that when sordell went off he strolled off like we were hanging on to a lead in the last minute. everyone clapped him, then he slowed to a snails pace and then got booed and went even slower and sarcastically applauded back. wtf is this guy on?? not a way to endear yourself to your fans...

i think we need a plan b. without kermit, our game plan goes out the window - we did not win one header up front today

The 2 strikers were even worse than each other. Church ran a lot but I can barely remember him having the ball at his feet. The only 2 decent attempts we had were from Cousins and Stephens. Yet it was Pigott who was getting stick from the fans round me in the NW, even when he was warming up. And CP should keep quiet about loanees, if he doesn't want his record on them to come under scrutiny.

Awful. Woeful. All the negative 'uls' you can think off.

CP has lost it again. All the qualities from Tuesday went for a burton, and he must really be fearing for his job this evening. One win in ten matches is not good enough, and one decent effort in ninety minutes is no good either. We were shapeless and soulless, and the football was yawn-inducing. With the exception of Stephens and Cousins in the midfield, the match was an alarming example of how poor we have become in such a short space of time. It is no good blaming everything on the loss of Kermit; CP is responsible for coming up a with Plan B, yet he has nothing at all in reserve.

Hamer - 6 - Did his job against a poor Blackpool attack.
Wiggins 4 - Needs to be dropped, pure and simple. Lost possession too often, and crossing was dreadful.
Wilson - 5 - Running out of steam.
Morro - 6 - Solid enough. Should have got forward for all set-pieces.
    Wood - 6 - Same as above.
    Gower - 5 - Plodding.
Stephens - 7 - Good passing and set-pieces, but no decent targets to aim for.
Cousins - 8 - Wasted in front of the back four. Should be marauding higher up. Created our best chance.
Harriott - 3 - Going downhill fast. No touch, no confidence - just terrible.
    Church - 4 - Not fit.
Sordell - 2 - Not fit to wear the shirt. Couldn't even be bothered to run off the pitch.

    Pritchard - 6
    Piggott - 6
    Stewart - 6

My kids managed to get fourteen autographs after the match, including Ricardo Fuller, Keith Peacock, Jason Euell and Paul Ince. Church was limping badly, and he admits he is struggling. Kermit reckons he could be back after the international break, but Jackson is not so confident.

    <cheers><applause>
Ponders, cheered me up no end! To be honest, I was'nt too upset with 0-0 against a team gunning for promotion, but since then I've read the posts of those who were there, and I'm not so happy. (None of my teams scored today, Dartford got a 2-0 defeat and were played off the park while Deportivo La Coruña drew 0-0 against a por team they should have beaten). Charltons draw was the best of the bunch, so thanks everyone for bringing me alLittle of your happiness!

Charlton was an unlikely club for him to join, so maybe he is costing us very little?

I wouldn't call myself a CP "fan" but I am certainly a CP supporter and I don't disagree. But given his CV of playing (a lot) for England u21s and (very recently) the UK Olympic team, there was also a chance that we could have found ourselves with a good player by Championship standards. If he isn't costing us very much then it was worth a shot. If we are paying big wages then, yes, it was a poor decision.

As we have previously discussed, loan signings are always a lottery with not many winning tickets. You are usually taking players who are failing at their present clubs. If they step down a tier or two then they might be able to blossom, but if they are staying at the same level the odds are against success.

I was also opposed to taking Stewart who seemed a similar case. The way he started I was happy to be wrong, but now CP is not starting him either which seems strange. He looks a natural to replace Harriott for a few matches.

to be honest, today wasnt as bad as it sounds. we were sure and stable at the back. we limited them to no chances either and they have quite a good strike force. we'd have won this if jacko had played in place of harriott, or anyone else in place of sordell.

two biggest worries are sodell and how crap harriott has been lately - he's a bit like a poor mans ronaldo when he signed for man united. all tricks, no end product. someone needs to have a word with him and remind him that the most important stats for him are points earned, goals scored, assists created. not stepovers, show ponying or having a clean kit by the end of the game.

sordell can just sordell off. absolutely cack. i'd rather have lisbie or leaburn back. being paid thousands to do something we all love but shows absolutely no desire.
