ridiculous beyond belief..£20m is just an obscene amount of money for an unproven 20yr old..add insult to injurty and we are giving them Ngog?!?! i just hope it isnt £20m cash plus £7m rated Ngog, i could live with that

£13m plus Ngog sounds alot better if thats the specifics of the deal!

Does anyone else feel we may have made an enemy out of the entire North East? We've paid both clubs handsomely for their 2 most promising stars, but either way I don't think their supporters take too kindly to it!

Newcastle maybe. Not Sunderland though. A lot of their fans seem pleased with 20m for Henderson, and a few are happy with N'Gog. He didn't put in a transfer request either, so I think they'll still hold him in good stead.

Their opinions will change once they start spending that money. I'd imagine Newcastle fans were upset as they can't trust Mike Ashley to reinvest that money back in to the squad. although since he has garunteed that thats where the money is going they may settle now.

£20m for Henderson... I'm not sure if that is too much or just right when I think about the amount Man City & Chelsea spend on players... maybe we have to accept that to move to the next level as a club we have to start paying these sorts of fees regularly

So it turns out ThisisAnfield was right and is probably one of the more reliable websites.
I subscribed to it ages ago and I got the news on my facebook page.According to ThisisAnfield,Kenny also wants Charlie Adam.

I still know very little about Henderson. Seems strange that not much is known about a player that sells for 20 mil.

    Please enlighten me!!

Also, I believe it is 13 plus N'Gog. It's reported as 'a deal worth around 20 million pounds', which I assume takes into account both transfers. 20 plus N'Gog and I don't think Kenny would've taken it.

He's been described at England's hottest young prospect. Last year he was 1 of 8 players on Fifa's world youth watch list, that also had the likes of Lukaku etc.. on it. He plays CM or RM, apparently prefers to play RM but has been forced into the middle this season due to Sunderland's injuries. He could also potentially play RW.

Well, he got his first England senior cap in November, along with Carroll. He's been around the Sunderland first team for a couple of seasons now, and before that he went out on loan to Coventry, where he reportedly did quite well.

Other than that, you'll have to have a look at some videos. Try and find a compilation from a single match. They tend to give a fairer reflection on the player than highlight reels.

Ive seen the clip that was floating around recently, but that was over a few games and made him look pretty decent. I'll do some research now <ok>

Its a ''£20 million deal'' which means that Liverpool pay Sunderland anything from £13-£15 million in cash and Sunderland get Ngog in part-exchange.
