    On Loic Remy's opening goal for Newcastle at Cardiff City:
    "Poor defending by Cardiff. Remy almost ran from half way, cut in and there are question marks over goalkeeper David Marshall."

    Translation: Remy gathered the ball, attached the defence, hadthe beating of the two defenders to turn and to place it into the bottom corner with aplomb delivering a great goal for Newcastle who deserved the lead.

    Wow. Totally different team to Monday. Remy has scary reactions.

    I thought Cheikh looked much more like himself in the cup game and he's followed up, patroling that area in front of the back four, having a nip out of everyone.

    Big 48ish minutes coming up. Knowing our second-half displays when we're winning, I'm still concerned. Someone lock Pardew in a cupboard for 15 minutes.

    Playing really well and spraying the ball around. Magnificent finish by Remy for his 2nd. Willo is playing simple stuff thankfully and is constantly giving verbals to his fellow defenders. Just hoping now we don't revert to our 1st half performance against Everton, although I doubt it as we are playing with so much confidence.
