It's time there was a cull on this board - I seem to spend a lot of time scrolling through the dross posted by some (no point naming & shaming, we all know who..) to get to the interesting info
Just out of interest, what would the anti name change groups position be if Old Man Allam produced evidence of increased revenue and investment at this meeting?
If there was a real prospect of increased revenue or indeed investment, we would be Hull Tigers now, why would he wait? 46 clubs have played in the premiership/premier league, how many have changed their names? How many have considered it?
As it's complete bollocks, there can be no such proof. The only way he could possibly suggest it's in the interest of the club, is if he's already agreed to sell the club to some billionaire who'll only buy it if it's called Hull Tigers. That being the case, we'll simply continue to campaign against the name change with the new owner.
Depends how much profit. So is this meeting just going to be a meet in the pub and have a chat over a pint, or be taken out to an exquisite 5 star restaurant courtesy of Dr. Allam? And will his daughter be there?
In which case he'd sell his arse to Simon Cowell if it put a penny in his pocket and an adolescent girl dreaming about him
I haven't! Although I will fess up to owning Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits. Completely not like anything else I listen to, or have ever listened to, but, on CD, it was fab. I vaguely recall at one point it being the one CD almost everyone with a CD player.
I only put that comment up to play devils advocate. Didn't expect a bunch of flat earthers and people lacking ambition to reply! Should have realised really. This is Hull after all. The why bother trying anything attitude encouraged and practised by our beloved council!
