Yup, you're right Roly - Medel is a destroyer in front of the back four. The great thing about him though is that he can pick a pass and get the ball away from defence as well, and not just "get rid" of it like some.

If Meds is the destroyer, Whitts and Kimbo are the creators. Depend who else Malky puts in that midfield 5 (no way will he go with 2 up front) as to his overall strategy. If he goes with both Gunnarsson and Jordan Mutch, I'd be surprised at home. Probably be Peter O to give some width and support Campbell up top. I'd have thought Bellers is likely to be on the bench at kick off, and used as an impact sub on the hour or so if needed.

Keeper and back 4 are nailed on certainties - the setup in front of them will be very interesting given the threat that Ben Arfa will pose though it would be a big mistake on our part if we ignore your other guys by overcompensating for him.

I managed to write for the last 5 minutes, but kept editing and deleting and so will just say our manager does not know our strongest team. We, as fans, cannot second guess what's going to turn up. In football, there's one thing to be too predictable, but it's not great when you've no identity at all. I could tell you how I could do it, the next person would disagree, then a third and not one of us would be close to Pardew's team.

Personally the full backs aren't the problem, it's the formation they're in. NUFC are not a top 6 club, so we need to defend first, attack second. I'd play a 4-4-1-1 at the expense of Sissoko.

Well I'm just not sure how many more times the line "I'm looking for a response" can be trotted out.
