Korea has so far made a loss of $160 million since it first hosted a grand prix.... Money well spent?

It's true, I dispise them as a nation, but when you've been there and seen what they're actually like you'd feel exactly the same, unless of course you're a BNP supporter in which case you'll think you've found Utopia. I was totally unsurprised when the most racist xenophobe they had running won the general election in a land-slide, it's the nature of the majority of the people.

If I may say so, this is a huge over-simplification.

Newey very much does have expertise in 'mechanical' and pretty much everything associated with it, which will also furnish him with a comprehensive understanding of engine maps. He is not just an aerodynamicist. Far from it.

Newey's expertise (nay: genius!) is that he has an uncanny ability to exceed his rivals in factoring all of the variables. His outlook is holistic. Indeed, it is probably worth emphasising that it is extremely holistic.
Whilst of course, aerodynamics is of key importance in F1, this is very much interwoven with the mechanical side of things, especially in the hands of Newey…

Ok fair enough but the hype of his ability is "aero" not suspension and balance etc...

And the problem is it could be a light fitting that gave Vettel 0.3 and people would just stupidly go: "yeah shows Newey is the best" the guy only has to fart and he gets the credit for it and it's becoming a moronic joke in my opinion.

Newey doesn't equal the 50 people behind the project that gave them this car part.

As I said, aerodynamics is of key importance. It is therefore natural that it gets weighted emphasis but also that it tends to be separated out by fans, who say whatever. Personally, these days I try to ignore whatever is obviously ignorant and focus on those who genuinely seek learning and understanding.

However, the whole concept of aerodynamics is that it works in harmony with all variables; and this is where Newey really is a master, in my opinion.
(And with that I confess hesitation: I almost wrote the master but realised I would be subjecting myself to a definition of stupid…).

Indeed, the person who really needs praising is whoever put the team together,

It depends which 'team' we are talking about. And I don't mean 'Red Bull'. Quite rightly, Newey has an awful lot of say in who is on his (part of) the team…

One question for the board.... If this weekend Red Bull and especially Vettel is struggling against say mercedes what do you think would be the obvious conclusion? Would it be that mercedes has made a big step forward or... Maybe too many eyes are on Red Bull and Vettel? If Vettel was 2.5 seconds per lap faster than the rest in the last race then surely he should at least be 1 second per lap or close to that faster in Sunday's race. I wonder how that will play itself out.
