Kranjcar had a nightmare 12 months in Ukraine before being offered an escape route by Harry Redknapp, who also signed the 29-year-old for Portsmouth and Spurs. However, he still has two years remaining on his contract with Kiev and is due to return at the end of the campaign. But Kranjcar has cleared the decks for a permanent move to W12. He said: "Iâm delighted to be back in England and back in London. Iâm like a child playing on a carousel. "So if they would want me, yes I am keen to sign permanently. Big fan: Harry Redknapp wants to have Kranjcar on a full-time basis Alex Broadway "It really is a great place to be, Iâm enjoying my football again." Kranjcar made just 15 starts during an injury-hit year in Ukraine that left his confidence at rock-bottom. But he hopes his time at QPR can help him rediscover his best football. "The lowest part was my injuries and not having the understanding of the coach," he said. "However well I played I would get substituted, so I could not get into a rhythm. "The mentality was different and it takes time to get used to. "Maybe I can say I didnât adapt to that, so I was happy when I got the chance to come here and come back to familiar surroundings and way of thinking." For someone of his quality to sday he wants to stay here is a great thing for us. Let's hope Tony can arrange it so that it happens!
Would love us to sign him and BAE on perms. I think big dependence on Harry staying and being in the Prem ( both redknapp men ). Two players that could get in half the prem teams imo. 3 more points tomorrow please rangers and another step closer as we do have 3 tough away fixs and would take 4 points from them now.
Kranjcar would be brilliant as a permanent signing. Another great asset for the club. A 3 year contract for him would be ideal
i thought we were lucky to get him on loan, it would be even better to get him on a permanent as long as the fee isnt too much. Yeah hes close to 30 but clearly the best AM we have, not like Zamora who cost £4m, on 40-50k and wasnt half the player HH was.
Niko, within a week, you have made your home with us .................. your a champion, good to have you on board.
And this love-in from both the player, manager and fans alike is after only one full outing. I can't disagree with any of the sentiments especially after nearly wetting myself watching his performance last week but I can't help looking for the much overused QPR comedy trap door waiting to open. 2-1 he gets taken out by the Russian Mafia before the end of the season.
I remember when I suggested we sign him last January and the summer before when MH was here and most on here were very lukewarm about him. He's head and shoulders above any other player in the Championship in terms of talent and experience and we should leave no stone unturned to make sure we sign him, he's Adel with a brain...
