Perfect answer. A footnote for lower team PL survival eg. Wigan, Birmingham, M'boro, do not get caught up in the League Cup! You've fixed nothing other than a "I know nothing" sign to your forehead.
I never miss West Ham, I'd love it if they ended up in Lge 3 and we never played them again, except to beat them in the Cups now and then (we do the latter anyway which is very nice
....wot an answer! ....are you serious The Swans were 7th/8th in weeks up to their LC Final, after which their form, although not relegation threatening (had they been lower who knows), but as it goes supports my point, they won only TWO of their remaining 10 games whilst losing 6, so thank you for adding weight to my argument. I don't suppose you thought your smug answer would end up making you look a fool!, out of your depth again, may I suggest you wear armbands in future over here, at least you won't sink! I'll be nice and spare you the facepalm.
Just read that Rose is 50/50. Lennon will be back in full training after the international break, along with Adebayor. Naughton at left back? not a great thought!
I Know but it was still only their second season when many thought they'd struggle with Rodgers leaving and suffer from second season syndrome. Birmingham were still 14th at the beginning of December the year they went down.
Spurs were 11th 10 points from the relegation zone in the weeks leading up to the Carling Cup Final in 2008, in fact, closer to 20th than 1st. I'm not sure why you are blowing a fuse, I think it's a fair argument. Whilst playing extra games can lead to lack of focus as it did for some of the sides we mentioned, it can also build confidence and get momentum going.
I think that's his point, isn't it? Winning the League Cup often leads to a bad drop in form which has proved fatal for those in a relegation battle. We actually did do significantly worse with Ramos after we won the League Cup. When Jol was sacked he had 1 win in 10(or something like that) and Ramos was doing very well at the time of the Carling cup. Anyway, I agree it can be a positive thing, because it should be a good thing you just have to make sure your players don't get carried away. Our players seemed to go on a 3 month long bender to celebrate last time. Had 'Arry won it with us the following year I think the celebrations would've been a bit more muted and I'm sure he'd have made sure they didn't spend their time celebrating in clubs.
Our form post LC final was **** aswell, whats your point?? everything you pull up supports what I said, teams that are near the rele end of the table that go far in the LC have often come a cropper, that is all I said, you then try to get 'one up' on me pulling out the stupid Swansea remark. Your argument is not fair, its rubbish, tell me one lower team in that situation in the LC who then went on a good league run and got themselves out of danger....pardon me for not bothering to wait around for an answer you won't find! And btw, if i blow a fuse laughing its not really your concern but thanks anyway...very sweet of you to care!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...d-be-arrested-for-chanting-Yid-Met-warns.html The last sentence is the most poignant, and is what constitutes the law, so good luck Plod with 20'000 arrests proving intent to insult, you'd better clear the cells of all the robbers, drug dealers and n'er-do-wells for all the real criminals at WHL.
The last 3 should all be ready when we come back from International break. Anyone know about Kaboul - short term problem?
Papers making a big thing about Defoe http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...dado-against-West-Ham-despite-Anzhi-goal.html In contrast, i was unable to find any stories about Hernandez being dropped back to the bench now RVP's fit again and scoring infrequently.
In all liklihood they'll either carry on their flyer campaign of written warnings or they'll arrest a handful and throw the book at them to try and make an ill-founded point. If anything though, it might be beneficial if someone goes to court for it as at least then we'll have some clarification*. At the moment we've got the PM saying it's okay, just as the police did last year and on the otherhand we've got a bitter Chelsea fan, a lawyer you wouldn't trust to represent you if you were appealing a parking fine and the police who have apparently changed their mind after 40 odd years of it being allowed. Personally I think Manchester United should drop the image of the Devil on their emblem, as a Christian I find it offensive that Satan is promoted in such away and I wish to excercise my religious right to take anything out of proportion and have it banned. Anyone got Herbert's number? *I'm not volunteering by the way
"Personally I think Manchester United should drop the image of the Devil on their emblem, as a Christian I find it offensive that Satan is promoted in such away and I wish to excercise my religious right to take anything out of proportion and have it banned." 20 odd yrs ago I was told a tale by a colleague of a guy who refused to work on a software project because it was a "daemon" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daemon_(computing)) and it conflicted with his Christian beliefs.
A very good point, United fans may laugh at the suggestion, but a harmless waving smiling golliwog was removed from promoting jam. So, what could they be instead the Red Holy Ghosts? thing there is it might upset genuine Satanists...you can't win!
I object to the Swansea emblem. Swans can be very aggressive and have been known to break people's arms with one blow of their wings. They also tend to hiss a lot. It's not a responsible image for the 21st century. I am also offended by the Sheffield Utd emblem. Knife crime is rife and is not helped by football clubs irresponsibly displaying two large crossed swords on their badge. Can you imagine the bloodshed if children tried to re-create this badge from things found in the home? I also believe that the emblems of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Hull City, Derby County, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Sunderland and many others should be banned. Fierce creatures - even mythical ones - have no place in the modern game given its appeal now to women, children and the elderly. Having a rabid wolf staring at you from the centre of a club badge is not big and it's not clever.
