My mate has just calls to say he can't make the game on Saturday so anyone interested in going ? West paddock, uncovered seating £15 each as its such short notice. If no one wants them by Midday tmrw I'll give 'em to my lads non-QPR mates but would rather they go to Rangers fan/s. Any takers ??
Really surprised that nobody responded to your kind offer - if I was in UK I would have been chomping at the bit for those tickets. One of these days, in better financial times, I would love to make the trip over from Canada, meet all of you guys and catch a few R's games at Loftus Rd. I turn 60 in Dec, and with 5 kids (daughters 12 - 21) with university tuition fees etc, not to even think about weddings, I don't see the financial end of things turning around in the near future. I sometimes imagine my Father & Grandfather (as Bushman called them true West Kilburn R's) going off to Loftus Road together from the mid 1920's to WWII, having a beer at the pub before, then watching the game together, then picking up Mum later for dinner and an evening of old time music hall (Harry Champion era, belting out "any old iron" aged 80 with carrot colour dyed hair) - in the early 1970's when I went to Loftus Road, travelling up from Hampshire, with Dad, but unfortunately we always seemed to get a crappy result, always close, but losing 2-1, 3-2 etc. when both of us so much wanted a good solid win - I guess that's what supporting QPR is all about.
Fair play to you for offering Stainesey. Kilburn, I feel for you buddy. I would chip in a few Euros to help bring you over for a game. You are one of the most sincere posters on this board. It would be great to see you at the Charlton game in November. Any chance?
Nice offer Stainesy but I'm 'entertaining' clients at Weds v Ispwich tomorrow although I'm not sure what's going to be entertaining about it...
