Agree it has been quiet at the ground and lacking in atmosphere the last couple of games but I think that's down the fare on show. First half performances hardly helped recently, so sluggish. But what happened to OWTS? That was a nice slow builder and it seems to have disappeared. Come on Northam chappies. Get us organised, won't you?
He did!! Gerrard was poor against us. I can see at least three changes from the midfield that plays tonight, perhaps even four, to the one that plays on Sunday
We do have options in midfield and on their day can match the best . This will be where the game is won or lost imo and I expect a tight game which can go either way . Believe it or not but I'm in Cardiff for a christening at 3 0'clock so gutted I can't make the game (the reception will be interesting after though )
I'll watch the first half via the inetrweb thingy then it's off for a 40 minute journey to hell I'm praying for a win for us just to keep the daughter in laws family quiet otherwise it's going to be a long day
Pretty much the strongest side out for Swansea in their Europa League tie which is fairly good news for us, although unfortunately no long away trip just to really wear them down so shouldn't affect them too adversely.
Makes sense to play a strong lineup today if they want to go far in Europa...getting six points out of the way will be invaluable, because then they can rest players during the ridiculous crush of games they face in November/December. Certainly works to our advantage, though.
We should win this game with the home advantage and Swansea's midweek game, but don't think we will. 1-1.
To be honest lads I can't see that happening. Laudrup thinks he won't play, he even wants him to pull out of the Wales squad.
This is going to be a tuff game, I would happily take a point now ... we need points, who doesnt? Had a big argument about Southampton with my brother long ago, whether it was pronounced South-hampton or South-ampton, cant actually remember who won that. 1-2 for us ... the pretty swans
Well I've got my black and white glasses on and will say 2-1 Swans, but I do feel it will be another draw game 1-1.
Well, I said that we owed someone a good tonking, so I believe [said in best patronising Stephen Fry] we'll get the cane out of the closet and give them a damn good thrashing. please log in to view this image
