For the bib theorists like meself, looks like Sterling could be getting a start this weekend.

Maybe Sterling needs that show of faith from Rodgers, knowing that he's starting and not coming on and having to perform in a 10 min period.

hmm maybe but he was getting those cameos and actually doing something productive on the pitch last year which then garnered his starts. I am not sure I would give Sterling that at the moment, think he needs to know he has not made it.

I have a feeling he'll do well this weekend and that it may kick start his season, I don't think the squad is strong enough to go loaning him out.

Think we are part at fault, baying for him to be played more, to keep him and not lose him, ended up giving him a big contract for his age and his demeanor, off field problems, and just overall attitude seems to have changed. Suso was given close to the same and he wants to play footy and get better and look at him now excelling. Both seem to have taken two very different paths since pay day.

Wish Wisdom would go on loan as well as he needs to be playing.

He should be starting for us though, he's not done much wrong imo and should be in the team while Johnson is out.

Think he is not playing as BR saw a perfect chance to get Toure/Skrtel/Sakho/Agger a lot minutes with 3 in the back and keep those guys happy.

Probably, I'm not sure it's the right time to play the 3 CB's while Johnson is out. At the moment a 4-3-3 would suit us better.

Possibly but we did push United in a game that was always going to be tough and beat Sunderland. We will see, I am a fan of a 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 but we will see with the personnel and if it gets better or gets worse.

I like the formation but think that the attacking full backs are essential to it or you end up not pushing the opposition back enough with Johnson I like it without him we should be giving Ryan McLaughlin a game so that we still have that wide attacker, Hendo just wasn't doing the job correctly.

Possibly but have a look through the pictures from today....

LG, I think I love it as it is what I played in college and with all the brazilians we were playing some ****ing sick stuff at times. I was out wide so had to do the running and tracking but I could put in a good cross or make a bombing run akin to what you are probably wanting from Johnson and it is vital. Just as much as if Johnson is pushing up, Enrique has to be careful of being too high on the other side as he should be looking to cover and almost be a fourth defender if you lose it.

It is such a flexible formation but you do need wide players who have the legs.

I agree, our problem at this moment is Enrique going too far forward at the wrong times and Hendo not going forward enough, the balance is all wrong.

If you have people who can get up and down the pitch it's a formation that the opposition struggle with.
