<laugh> Strange analogy but I agree, don't care how they're doing at the moment. More important things have my attention.

    Why not?

We're the last team to win a derby, the last team to be relegated and the last team to win a current major trophy.

Why do some people have this defeatist philosophy with the Mags?

They've been beaten at home by Hull and pulled to pieces last night.

They have 6 horrible fixtures at the end of which we might well be above them with another derby victory under our belts.

Twice today I've agreed with you. This must stop.

I watched the craas last night and on another night, Everton would have scored 3 or 4 more. They got back in the game with a wonder strike from Cabaye who is their best player by miles. Ben Arfa is the Kings clothes just like Sessegnon was for us. Hitty missy.

They are in as much ****e as we are and that was their best 11 last night. We are manager less and without our top striker. I certainly don't fear them in the derby and if we have our new man in charge, the lift we should get may see us reverse an awful home record too.

Can I just add that last night is precisely why I don't rate Martinez. His teams can't defend for toffee. The mags were ****e but Everton were clinging on in a game they should have coasted home in.

Even Pardew, the man with a million excuses, was struggling to find someone else to pin the blame on :)

I was laughing watching him screaming at Cabaye, with a few minutes to, as he stood over a free kick on the edge of the box.

A man who could barely kick straight, and has never won a thing, bellowing advice to Cabaye on how to take a free kick!

Thought Leighton Baines was outstanding. Apart from free kicks, oddly. But his tackling and running were superb.

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-manager-alan-pardew-knows-2328080?

Steve Wraith as a spokesman for the Wongaloids ............. now that is funny :)

I wonder how many phone calls, to the Mirror, it took before they agreed to let him have his little say.

He doesn't have a single quote to back up any of his ****e and 'speaks on behalf of the supporters'.

Well, at least we have them knackers to laugh at and keep our chins up.

Well - according to the newspaper article with no quotes in a "source close to Di Matteo" said he wants to manage Newcastle - I reckon it was Geordie Dave talking randomply in a pub toi his mates overheard by the ****ty tabloid press!!

My comment wasn't about us playing or losing to the mags and I wasnt being defeatist. I think we'll probably do them. I also think that given everybody is taking points off everybody else at the minute, that a few good results will see us out of of the bottom 3 soon and in the mix again. Thats not defeatist at all.

I was responding to the string header about Pardew hanging on to his job and that I don't think we're in a position to take the p*** about other team's managers given our recent track record.

You just seem to be looking to have a pop at every opportunity at the minute Smug.

I can see what you're saying but I don't go along with the theory that you can only take the piss when you're on the up. To me that's taken the easy way and is a bit cowardly, not that I'm saying you're a coward mate.

The situation with Pardew is farcical so I feel inclined to take the piss.
He's currently looking like he's desperate to get out and the Mags would be protesting, as they love to do, but they daren't because they know Kinnear would take over.

I don't see the harm in posting a thread about that tbh.

BTW, I'm never looking to have a pop.
I just speak the truth, as I see it, and don't go looking for arguments.

However if people come looking for an argument they'll get one.

I haven't met a mag that actually likes or rates Pardew tbh but I know **** loads that think if he goes then Joke steps in and for that reason alone they are desperate for him to stay?

Hardly a recipe for success. I think if we were to beat them in 3 weeks time, given the sorry mess we are in, Pardew will be shot with ****e by everyone and Joke appointed.

Now if that's not a good enough extra incentive for our boys to up their game and stuff them, I dont know what is. Lol

I guess I just believe there's something in the old maxim - "those who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones" or something like that. It feels a bit like laughing at the guys already in the water while sitting on the bows of the titanic at the minute.

My more immediate concerns are for our club, and the board in particular - I'm just worried that they don't seem to look like they have a plan or know what they want. Couldnt give **** about what goes on up the road.

I think we all know mate, that mams across Tyneside would normally be hiding the bedsheets by now.
But the Mags are like a man with a painful and serious illness . . . .
. . . . . it won't get any better but the alternative is worse!

Funny, you're the 3rd person who's come onto a Newcastle thread to post that they don't care about Newcastle <doh>
