Poll's a QPR fan. Giving him Spurs v Chelsea was a poor decision, to say the least, though Terry fully deserved his red card.
There was some suggestion that he did more than just foul King, which may explain the reaction of some of our players following the incident.
Quite funny to see those comments from Chelsea fans claiming that their captian, "Ain't like that", and would never say such a thing! <laugh>

I was hoping Ledley might talk of this incident in his new autobiography and reveal what really happened. unfortuntaely it doesn't get a mention.

They're old mates though, aren't they, SC?
If King's got any ambitions to coach any level of the England team, then calling out such a high-profile figure in that set-up would probably do him a lot of damage, too.

Yes, they both played for Senrab as kids. Also, as King is an employee of the club, I don't suppose he wants to say anything too controversial.

Is Terry high-profile with England? I was under the impression he's pretty unpopular with the FA.

Not surprising Ledley doesn't mention it though, he wouldn't say boo to a goose, let alone f*ck you to John Terry.

That game was particularly memorable for me, it was the day I started supporting Spurs again, having completely lost interest in football for the previous five years.

Ledley has more class than to do that.

Poll showed outright bias in every Chelsea game he officiated and still does in his Daily Heil column. Worst referee the games had, convinced he's bent.

He has answered it in a recent addition of FourFourTwo magazine where he admits that him and Terry have never really been 'best of mates'

He also said that amongst him, Chimbonda, BAE and Zokora, none of them have ever mentioned hearing anything on the pitch at the time. He remembers Terry barging into BAE as he left the pitch and just thinks Chimbonda and Zokora were sticking up for a fellow black, french-speaking teammate

You are possibly right that he doesnt want to controversially bring it all up again, but this is his 'public' response to the question

Ahhh seeing Chimbonda's and Zokora's names being mentioned. Man I miss those guys.

When we faced Boro a good few years ago, George Boateng knocked Lennon to the ground, then squared up to him resulting in both Zokora and Chimbonda jumping in and I'm pretty sure I saw Chimbonda grab Boateng's arms behind his back while Zokora gave him a little uppercut to the body, as if to say "**** with the little guy you get us as well" <laugh>. Was pretty funny.

***For the record I don't condone violence*** :D

Can't say I remember that but I do remember Zokora tangling with a Roma player in a friendly, which ended with Zokora standing over the player and he even pushed him back down when the Roma player tried to get up. Totally stupid, especially in a friendly but off went the Zokora chants and we all found it brilliant entertainment :D

I didn't want him to leave but it was probably for the best, if only because it meant that he'd eventually end up in Turkey kicking Emre square in the nuts.

As for Chimbonda, I wasn't sorry to see the back of him on either occassion. He had a very good first season but after that he just went downhill, it didn't look like he cared at all.

I have to admit I liked both guys, they seemed to have a great connection with the crowd. Both (especially Zokora) came over to Park Lane if we'd won and do a little dance. Cult heroes.

I quite liked 'em as players too actually, Zokora's work rate and stamina is still yet to matched in my opinion, though Paulinho/ Sandro/ Capoue aren't far off, though the guy couldn't pass for ****!
Chimbonda was a good all round full back for me, looked a bit too laid back at times but always thought he was a useful player. He cheers Spurs on quite a bit on Twitter too, surprised he's been without a club for about a year now, good enough to make a lower league Prem squad or definitely a Championship team I'd say.

Chimbonda went to Doncaster for a bit, didn't he? I doubt he's anything more than a poor Championship player at this stage.

Yeah he went there at a time a few half decent Prem players did for a short spell, I think Habib Beye and Diouf also had a period there. Think it was when Doncaster were pretty much bottom of the league so they splashed some cash on wages in hope of staying up, still went down though I think.

Yeah you're probably right, Championship is where his standard is now, surprised no one has snapped him up or made an offer though. Was only what, 6 or so years ago he was voted the best RB in the Prem.

EDIT: Just checked his wiki page, he's now with Market Drayton on a non-contract basis after failing to earn a deal with Tranmere Rovers... Blimey Pascal, talk about fall from grace there pal!
