    Okay. Sigh. This match.

For me, it's a huge one for the manager. Not that he'd be moved on, but there's a fortnight break between this and Liverpool so a repeat of the first half vs. Everton can't happen.

Our formation just isn't working. I don't know what the answer is given the personnel we have, but a back four of Santon, Saylor/Willo, Colo, Dummett is a must. Midfield we can't really afford to revert to two in the middle, but I'd give Sissoko time off for bad behaviour and stick with Ben Arfa wide right; such is the way those kinds of guys need to be managed. Sammy needs to be given a shot on the left, because Gouffran isn't a left midfielder and the flanks will be exposed again.

Like it or not, under Pardew we cannot play 4-3-3. He has the players, but he doesn't have the ability to make it stick. Pardew plays in his head with wingers. His full backs play like they have wide men in front of them, who can protect. When Pardew then has them lining up WITHOUT wide men, we get woefully exposed. When the DM's then try and cover the backs, we get woefully exposed in the middle. So we need to go back to 4-5-1. Remy is easily our most dangerous front man and can play up front on his own.

    Krul

    Santon - Saylor - Colo - Dummett

Ben Arfa - Tiote - Anita - Sammy

    Cabaye

    Remy

According to NUFC.com Saylor and Tiote are doubtful.

Giving it a miss this year, my next away game is the Mackem's.

That'll be followed by Spurs on Sun 10-Nov 12.00pm.

    Another earlier than needed departure.

Right. So the problems of last seasons injury list have been well sorted, then. Saylor - who was suspended - has managed to get injured doing what?

To be fair, Saylor puts a lot more into it when he is playing than some of the other guys.

If he's complaining about the boys and girls there's always other forums which may satisfy his intellectual needs

Back to football and our old friend Bellamy.

CCFC: Striker Andreas Cornelius is doubtful with an ankle problem.

Three home games in the Premier League to date for City and three differing outcomes: a 3-2 victory against Manchester City, 0-0 draw with Everton and 0-1 loss to Spurs.

Magpies old boy Craig Bellamy has failed to find the net in the Premier League for Cardiff in five outings so far this season totalling 324 minutes.

Were he to score on Saturday, the 34 year-old would create Premier League history, becoming the first player ever to score for seven different clubs in the competition - six to date being Coventry City, Newcastle, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester City.

His six club record is shared by Andy Cole, Les Ferdinand, Marcus Bent, Nicky Barmby, Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane.

Of that half dozen Bellamy netted against us in the colours of Liverpool, West Ham and Man City.

Hope the poison dwarf isn't going to get one against us this time.

Referee: Kevin Friend - Leicester-based official who handled two 1-0 home wins for Newcastle last season, against Wigan and Fulham.

Some of this is from NUFC.com

I don't know if changing 3 of a back 4 is a good idea. MYM has to sit this one out, I would imagine. But I don't think the problem with the full backs is actually the full backs - I think it's the players in front of them. So Jonas on the right is fine for me, and it might be a good idea to put Santon in at right back. Then that frees up the entire left for Dummett and Sammy (rather than Gouff - we need a wide player who can carry the ball and track back, plus the two of them have been playing together for about 12 years). Middle three of Cabaye, Tiote and Ben Arfa or Anita is fine, it's about having options. Remy is far and away our most useful CF.

Bellamy will be on the bench on saturday, Odemwingie has overtaken him in the pecking order. The player you have to be aware of is Gary Medel in midfield, probably the best buy by any club in the EWPL this year.
