It was so good, I thought it was Portugese or Spanish. The man has no equal when it comes to different accents
The Artist - Great Battleship - Gave up after half an hour of this. Utterly preposterous cliche-ridden drivel... from what I saw. How does **** like this get funding? X-Men 1st Class. Saw a pirate version previously, about a year and a half ago and though it was good, on second watching this is easily the best X Men movie. Quality.
The Lone Ranger. Superb opening but really really flat in other places. The film looks absolutely glorious and the sfx are top notch but i'm afraid this is a movie which could have done with the services of a good editor. I love a long movie, most of my all time favourites run into 3 hours but this movie simply wastes a lot of time on uninteresting and bland sub plots. In it's defence it's no way near as bad as the critics made out, although enjoyable and engaging, do what I did and don't bother pausing in the slow sections, make a cuppa (or three) and enjoy it for what it is, it's a better movie than Wild Wild West but it's no classic. If it ran at 1hr 40 - 2 hours then it could have been cracking.
This is a great film and I thought it was far better than the Avengers movie. From the same folk who made Kick ass.
Dark City. Weird film. Not sure what to make of it Could've been better if they never had that epic concentration mind battle at the end <pyoorcheese>
Watched Django Unchained again the other day. Brilliant film. Even the wife enjoyed watching it for a second time, and she can never usually watch a film twice. The Wee Man too. I thought it was ok considering the slating it's taken on GC.
I watched World War Z last night. It was better than expected. The Glasgow scenes were vaguely reminiscent of the 1980 Scottish cup final The plot is full of holes, but it was entertaining. The scenes in the lab reminded me of the recent game, The Last of Us.
There were scenes in Glasgow? I was disappointed with world war z . Thought it was half a film, they needed to actually have a war with the zombies and kill them.
Yeah when Pitt and his family are fleeing the city at the start. It was all filmed around the George Square area to be honest I only watched it to see it. I know what you mean about half a film though.
Watched 'Cube' last night. Never heard of it but it's got decent reviews so gave it a go. The script and acting are a bit dodgy, but it's an interesting concept and well worth a watch
That's an oldie. Ideas from it have been stolen by various films since. Resident Evil, Cabin in the Woods to name but two.
