After Joe Harts poor display tonight, whats the chances of Ruddy being number 1 for the World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland at Wembley later this month?
Would make a nice moral boost for the team.

You would think so but Hodgson and Hart are bum chums!, seems like Hart can do no wrong.

Miserably low, in answer to your question. Hart is still a bit of a golden boy and, much like the time where Lampard and Gerrard where shoe-horned into the team ahead of Scholes, I think it will be to the detriment of England.

Hart's well overrated I'd rather have Ruddy, I think Forester might well be up for a shout soon after his performance against Barcelona.

Never heard of Forester but I've heard Forster is pretty good :p

I'd have him second to Ruddy on Hart's recent showings.

Had Ruddy moved to Chelsea, he most likely would be first choice. I think Hart has become a liability both for Citeh and England.

Edit 7.15. Just seen Hart's howlers and I'm sure the majority of England fans are hoping Ruddy or Foster get the GK jersey for the next 2 qualifiers. NOT 'holding my breath' on that one though!!!!

Well don't you see as Ruddy plays for Norwich he would have to be twice as good as Joe Hart to play'.... he's nearly is it seems, but big club syndrome hits again!

Ruddy is deffo the better keeper, but Roy will want to show him "Solidarity"

It's total **** though, Ruddy is a far better keeper atm.

whilst i completely agree that hart is out of form and probably behind ruddy (not so sure about forster), he is guaranteed to play for england because hart kept getting picked in friendlies! it was said many times it was pointless playing hart in warm up matches - we already know what he can do - pick ruddy or forster or give them a half each in these games so that they have a little experience when it comes to the international scene. now if hodgson throws one in and they make a mistake they'll probably never play for england again and that is ridiculous, especially when you see how many gaffs hart makes. the most awful thing about this is hodgson gave jack butland a game! he is miles behind all three keepers. i personally think hart is just going through a phase where he got a bit too big for his boots and is struggling to come to terms with not being the perfect golden boy anymore - he's still young, especially for a keeper - i think he'll end up being one of england's greatest keepers when we look back on his career one day but at the moment he'd probably be better off out of the limelight for a little while. problem is, because the other two haven't been given minutes when they should have, the manager will feel he now can't pick them for important games!

Haven't we been agreeing on here that JR is still not fully recovered and is a bit short of his best form? Someone was actually suggesting Bunn should be in our team ahead of him at this moment! I don't think JR is in England form myself. <ok>

I have said many times that Hart is vastly overrated and last night was another case in point. Ruddy is in my view a more solid keeper but to be honest in terms of our history in that position we are poorly stocked at the moment. Forster continues to look good but cannot see him all of as sudden being bounced into the slot from nowhere. JR should on merit get the nod but think he will miss out again as golden boll*cks continues to be woy's first pick.

He is a bit shy of his top form but even so he would be miles better than Hart. At the moment Hart would be a disaster, I think it depends on how bad Hart is against Everton, that match could be the tipping point.

oh yeh limited options, I think Hodgson will pick Hart still just because he has more experience.

Completely agree Woy has dug himself a hole by only ever selecting one keeper, now its "too soon to the world cup to drop him" similar to 2008. He has never really given anyone else a chance and be it injury or a loss of form to Hart he has only internationally inexperienced options. Im sure a lack of competition for Hart has not helped at all. What was the benefit of picking him for San Marino or Moldova? I would never really wish it on any player but part of me would like to see Hart miss a few games injured to force Woy to give the others a chance.

If it wasn't such a crucial couple of games, then there's a chance hart would be dropped.
given his displays for celtic, forster is possibly more likely to get any potential nod than JR, especially from what i read on here that JR is not back to his best yet following the injury.

lastly, i think there is more chance that Hart will be dropped by pelligrini first

Is Costel Pantilimon any good? Because if I were Pellegrini I'd consider dropping him. If he ain't playing for his club then may be Woy couldn't pick him for England (though I doubt it!)

    Bah!

I know he played quite a lot for his club in Romania and is an International for Romania. Not sure of his ability (I just know he's very tall!).

the ruddy vs bunn argument, although not complete madness was a little misguided imo - ruddy is currently playing better than hart, therefore he should be england's number one. its difficult to tell with forster - i have always been of the opinion that ruddy is the better of the two but admittedly i've not seen much of forster this season
