As ever, I'll believe it when I see it. But as u no hoo won't be involved, I have some confidence in this one. Time will tell.

I'll give you a clue. It's a Cayman Islands registered investment fund. :bandit:

I used to get excited a year ago with all this stuff but to be honest I just yawn now. I suppose one day it will happen, one day

Ken, go forth and multiply. Eire, life has moved on as Ken is no longer part of the club. Think the mood music around this possible additional funding has to be seen in a positive light.

We need GFH to sell us, the more an investor invests the more they will expect and demand a return on their money. Sometime down the line I can see things getting really messy when all these investors want something different

These are investors Boggers, not donors. Positive if it happens and it means an improved playing squad, otherwise it's spin

Point taken Eire. I tend not to differentiate between donors and investers, although I accept there is a fundamental difference.

Investor will want money back with interest and only likely interest in club would be financial. The donor being some sort of supporting nutter like ourselves except would have to have more money than sense, maybe a lottery winner

And Chairman has just said on Sky don't expect promotion this season, be patient it will take time.

Investment means buying shares at the going rate, so not gazillions coming in, maybe enough to fund a signing. Oh well .....

Fantastic, but hardly tallies with the major investor he spoke of earlier.

Agreed. I mentioned this in another thread and got told to go and support Watford! The gap widens daily with increasing tv revenue income for the premiership teams. Either Leeds aren't an attractive target or someone is asking too much for too little regarding investment. Be patient my arse! enough is enough.

    An honest assessment.

You need more players in the January window to be certain that you won't get dragged into a relegation scrap. If this investment doesn't happen PDQ, how many wealthy arabs will be investing in a League 1 club, and how much will GFH lose in the process?

10 years or not it doesn't change our situation. You are just being impatient. Doesn't matter how long we've been out we're in this situation and it will take time to fix, unless you've got millions of your hard earned you're willing to use to pay off somebody else's debt with no return... thought not.

Do you think Byram and McCormack will hang around for two years? If not they'll have to fund their replacements as well or hope a couple of the youths step up. No decent players will hang around year after year if they see what they perceive as better opportunities. Leeds fans should be well aware of that

Well that's bollocks since McCormack just committed himself for the next 4... and I expect Byram to sign a new contract relatively soon, probably around the end of the season.

I don't think it really matters though, I'm not sure what your solution to that problem is...

Youre kidding yourself if you believe signing a new contract is somehow tying these players down. It gives them a deserved pay rise and a higher sell on value for the club when time comes to sell. Was Bale out of contract at Spurs?
