Because you played Blackburn at a bad time. They are in a good bit of form at the minute and made it a very tough fixture for you. I always thought you would struggle to pick anything up from this fixture but you will bounce back. The top teams will have a bad run of results sooner or later and Leicester will fail to get a penalty eventually.
Gianfranco Zola has been rotating his side with regularity in recent weeks; in the previous four matches before tonight he had made eight changes twice, five alterations and six changes. From the WO match report. Significant?
Bit worried Zola seemed to suggest some players were tired considering he did make a number of changes I presume to freshen the team up. Maybe somebody like Deeney needs a rest? Always dangerous when a goal sniffer like Rhodes is about to be 0-0.
I will say one word that will resolve all out problems. SPEED!!!!!! When we played Barnsley we were playing fast paced, free flowing and quick footed football. Then we did the same against Norwich. We would play it out from the back through the midfield and into the final third with only a handful of passes and a burst of pace. We didnt dally around on the half way line, we just tore them apart. But when we slowed it down we invited the pressure and ended up conceding the first goal. When we stop at the half way line and go sideways or backwards we allow defenders to organise themselves into a line and make themselves hard to break down. With the personnel we currently have we lack the abilty to break down defenders slowly. We have plenty of pace in the squad with Anya, Faraoni, Forestieri, Fabbrini, McGugan, Murray, Battocchio and Abdi to name the obvious ones. But they seem unwilling to or being prevented from using their pace. It baffles me!
I agree with Dan, we look our most dangerous when playing with pace. I thought Deeney looked very slow on Saturday and did not contribute much, looking at the reports, it was the same last night! I hope we get back to playing with pace on Saturday as I am making the trip up
Deeney is the one who doesn't get a rest except for League Cup games. I am not sure that we have a direct replacement for him, so you keep playing him until he grinds to a stop, or you try a different system without him. From the little I have seen I still believe that we could do with a different option to play with him, one that can take some of the pressure off him to score goals.
i'm a watford's Fan from Algeria ^^ since Belkalem plays for the hornets ^^ i wish you the best for this season and plz if there's someone who has pictures of belkalem with his new teams.. if he can send them to me enjoy your evening.
thank you my friend. but i have all the ones that we can found on internet. lol i hope to get new ones
Speed it is then, ¿best suited to the counter away from home? ¿Or just more ZIP into our game? Welcome far west ¿how does Belkalem do when he plays for Algeria?
thanks mexican ^^ Well Belkalem is from the most titled team in Algeria.. JS Kabylie he passed all his classes there. he started playing african champions league at the age of 20 so he's used to the pressure,Belkalem has also picked up vital experience from his appearances with Algeria's U-17 and U-20 sides until now where he's going to play the two last games against brukina faso .so if we get through this we can go to the world cup . he's very strong at the air but he's not very quick.. i think he will improve more with Zola . ps: i'm sorry for my english
Welcome farwest, good to have another International Hornet on here. I hope that I am not touching on a sore point, but I believe that a third of Algerians speak French and it is used in the educational system, or has that changed?
