Lol, I did try, but there wasn't any left. I saw a post on Twitter saying that if I emailed them asking for one, they'd send one. If there was a disclaimer about being an ex-pat, then I missed it totally... Thanks anyway lads!
It's a step in the right direction, 1. Mr Allam however begrudgingly has noticed or being informed about the unrest & called a summit. 2. He may well be aware of the need to consult supporters in reagrd to PL rules & so this possibly a nod in order to respect the rules - pointed out by his advisors no doubt 3. There is no evidence that his namechange baby would generate income & there is no evidence to the contrary either since it's a new concept at this level. 4. Can the 3 reps put it clearly, respectfully & honestly that they could create a boycott on HCAFC merchandise if Mr Allam plans to go ahead. 5. The Allams risk alienating local support. He may label himself as a businessman but what use is a football club without a heart? This is why it's not just a company.
you do realise he will go into this meeting first and foremost getting the 3 to sign an NDA ... then it will be an hour of business negotiations .. nothing more ... I have looked at this and from experience (hullcitylive.co.uk) .. you are walking into something that if you do not have figures to prove how hull city will run without him ... he will walk away and say this to the FA and the name will change ... BE CAREFUL
because he is gonna basically destroy you with an NDA and then if you don't get him to sign it the HDM will have some funny quotes the next day ... " I don't care what league" etc etc ... to belittle the group ... you are not dealing with softy pearson ... you are dealing with a whole different animal
good post apart from number 5 .. he wont care .. as he will get more plastics coming .. that's the business way
If you mean revenue from the clubshop and online, I reckon it's peanuts and not at all a major consideration one way or the other in the bigger scheme of things.
Non Disclosure Agreement. If you talk about anything from the meeting, prepare to go to court, and lose.
I have made my thoughts known to the Club some weeks ago via James Mooney for what its worth about the ludicrous name change. As for the old man having a meeting with a select group of supporters, you're having a laugh - this guy is like Thatcher - he's not for turning. He's not interested in the views of the real supporters of this Club. He is however now well aware of the groundswell of support against the name change not only from our own supporters but the wider football community. The outcome of any meeting will be very interesting.
This is AA building consultation and stroking appeasement, but as long as our group has its own agenda clear in their collective minds then there is nothing to lose. I believe that the guys who attend will be savvy enough to do a job for us all. You must play your cards close to your chests and many of us are right behind you.
Do you ever read a post and understand it? You have just proved that I was right to stoop to using foul language and offensive terms to describe you. I was spot on. Stop reading what you want into posts and read what is written. Where does it say that I swear in meetings, I posted that I tell people straight? What I propose is that you find someone else to try to belittle, you know someone who actually gives a fig what you think of them. As for me, I don't mind what I post on here, if I get things wrong so what. Should I have used such foul language on here...well lets just say this..if you was in a pub with me and you tried to be as clever with me I would have said the same.
IF and its a big if, Mr Allam can perform a U-turn on the name change it would make him far more popular than he could ever imagine. It would take a big man to admit how stupid the idea is and to listen to what the fans are saying. I think the No To Hull Tigers 3 need to back up the statistcs with a nudge to Allam highlighting this.
Can we please not lose sight of the fact that this is just an invitation for a chat. It is not going to resolve the issues but it is a step in the right direction. One small step.
It's all right calling for a boycott, but it won't happen. People will still buy City stuff and later fork out money for Hull Tigers gear. The NoToHullTigers twitter feed held a poll on it yesterday. They're in a minority but it you can't stop them. Look what happened before the Huddersfield match- people still chose to go.
INVITATION TO MEETING WITH DR ASSEM ALLAM As has been reported on Twitter by Radio Humberside’s David Burns (after a discussion with Dr Assem Allam), on Monday City Till We Die were contacted by an assistant of Dr Allam, inviting a maximum of three representatives of our community group to a meeting with him at his offices (exact time and date TBC). We see this is a positive step and have asked for further details of what topics Dr Allam would like to discuss, so that we can decide who would be the most appropriate representatives to attend the meeting. **** Dear [REMOVED], Further to our email on Monday we have discussed your offer and are happy to set up a meeting between Dr Allam and three of our representatives. We believe this to be a positive move. You will appreciate that we are an open and transparent organisation, so our representatives will need to report back fully to the steering group on what is discussed in order for us to appropriately inform the various fan groups we represent. Ahead of the meeting it would be useful if you could advise us what points Dr Allam intends to raise at the meeting so we can fully prepare ourselves for the discussion and send our most appropriate representatives. Yours sincerely, CITY TILL WE DIE - Campaign group
