He's come back better than he was before.

He's always been hardworking and tenacious but he's now also 'filled out' a bit and has more physical power to back up his aggression.

He's also playing a little more conservatively than he did before and is giving us a great base to attack from. Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil etc.. will be more confident breaking forward with Flamini covering.

A lot of money but worth it when you get a top quality striker. By the end of the season, Lukaku will be one of the top scorers in the league.

They probably knew Liverpool were interested, and when they saw what those idiots paid for Carroll, they had to get in on it.

Nuri Sahin - incredible the way he went from one Europe's most coverted defensive midfield players to an absolute nobody after he joined Liverpool. We definitely dodged a bullet there. Another one was Julio Baptista. We missed out on signing him to then took him on loan and he turned out to be a bit of a Turkey, albeit scoring a few screamers along the way.

Well you never know, maybe under Wenger he would've turned into something, so it could be down to bad man management, look at some players how great they are under Wenger, get a big head, leave us, and turn into ****, it's not because they're ****, but all down to management.

You're right that Wenger's man management may have turned Sahin into something at Arsenal, but like you say some players get a big head and don't always perform for their club and manager.

Apparently Milan did offer him a contract but they couldn't agree on the length

He was brilliant with us the last time too. He actually played really well for Milan before they let contract run out, it's poetic justice that he's rejoined Arsenal. Legend in the making I reckon.

Just thought I would revive this thread for a bit.

Last Nights performance again highlighted how important Flamini is the our team.

I think Arteta played well last night but Falmini just gives the team the correct balance. He also seems to organise those around him.

For me we look a much more balanced side when he plays in the middle.

We really missed his energy in the midfield last night and even though Arteta had a decent enough game, he ain't a pure DM like Flamini. Hopefully he is back for the Palace game.
