I understand the one game ban for Broony. More than that would be excessive given the nature of the incident. I think UEFA have to look at fair play on the field as well as off. Neymar was completely out of order with his simulation or over reaction. I could see no contact with his rib cage, yet he feigned injury and pain in that area of his torso. Are we progressing to an era in global football, whereby strategy talks and tactics along with training sessions are based on simulation and feigning injury to get opponents sent off. If UEFA ignore this, which they will with clubs from the big countries, but will probably punish a club from a smaller country, then the game will deteriorate to the point that some country or club will plan to win a trophy mainly by using this strategy. Ok it happens sometimes, but unless UEFA punish it then it will become the winning strategy of a less talented club or national side.
Actually I would quite like to see Celtic complain about neymars simulation, just to see what happens.
It wasn't harsh at all. It was 100% correct. They have to go with the always cheated, never defeated line.
Trev obviously doesn't know the rules. He clearly aimed a kick at Neymar. It's not one that is a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact.
