Sakho is a good shout at DM, Didnt he have 95% pass completion rate last game.

Looking forward to this one, we need to properly dominate this game how we have domne against Norwich in recent seasons, performances ahve not been great this year as a 90 minute game. Would like to see us play 1 defensive midfielder and really take it to them in this one.

I'd rather we played midfielders in midfield instead of our most expensive defender being pushed there to be honest. Sakho needs to play a few games at CB and make that slot his own before he's pushed around to fill gaps.

Against Palace we probably don't need a specified DM, but I think Henderson could do a decent enough job. He has the energy to play the role, more so than Lucas, and although he isn't as good at tackling, in theory we should have much more of the ball and won't need someone to keep making tackles to win it back etc.

I hope if we do play 352 again that Moses isn't play in the hole behind the front 2 as he just can't play there. Not his fault, his main strengths are used best out on the wing.

 

If we were going to push a defender into the DM role then surely it would be Agger?

However, I agree with IBWT. Play defenders in defence and midfielders in midfield!

I'd go 433 (partly because I hate three at the back but also because I think any incoming midfielder could do with the support of Gerrard and Henderson):

Migs
Toure - Sakho - Agger - Enrique
Gerrard - Henderson - Allen/Alberto
Suarez - Sturridge - Moses

 

That was my team in my head... no doubt some people will say that we have 2 left footed CB's, ignoring all the clubs out there with 2 right footed CB's in their team though

 

I was assuming Agger would be fit, if not then obviosuly bring Skrtel in and play Sakho as LCB.

I have no issue with CB's when it comes to left or right footed

 

Cissokho is back for this weekends game. Must likely as a sub to ease him in.
