Think I read earlier that's 8 for the season now. Got to be some kind of record! Is it purely coincidence or have we been guilty in the past of being too honest and are now going to ground if there's contact?
Neither. We haven't been diving or going to ground easily- note the lack of people claiming that we are? We just have fast players that take the ball into the box - teams will learn to stop letting the likes of Vardy and Dyer cut inside so the penalties will dry up. We should actually have been awarded more penalties but that is by-the-by.
I didn't mention us diving or going to ground easily. Just stated that some players (not just ours) get fouled but would rather stay on their feet than give the referee a decision to make
I agree with Pearson, more attacks will get more penalties, so even if we are unable to convert chances, we are still in and around the danger zone more often than last year. I really hated it last year when Palace seemed to be getting one every week, but i understand why they were getting so many now with the attacking players forcing errors out of defenders. If Nuge keeps scoring them, lets keep getting them
Pace of Nugent, Dyer, Vardy, De Laet and Knockaert are always going to cause problems As for why we have so many penalties I couldnt answer that. I would say only the Blackburn and Birmingham penalties wasnt
... if you'd left Nugent out you'd be spot on ... suspect Big Wes is actually faster ... Dyer Vardy and De Laet will always draw penalties with their sheer pace ... Knockaert is not quite so quick but very tricky with a tight turning circle ... Vardy is great at just turning and going for gaps between defenders or cutting across them as he gets into the area ... On Palace last year (re other posters above) - they were infuriating other teams with their 'simulation' ... we don't do that (apart perhaps Knocky against Watford), which I'm actually rather pleased about ...
I don't recall us getting many last season so maybe it's karma catching up with us. Could be wrong of course, we probably had loads and it's selective memeory time. Also, has anyone else noticed our obsession with 2-1 scorelines in the last couple of years? Last season we seemed to love getting beat 2-1 (I think the only other losing scorelines we had were 1-0 and 2-0), whereas this season we have been involved in seven 2-1s, losing only one of them. I'd rather win all games like this, however, than suffer the inconsistencies of last season where we would smash six in one week, and lose 2-1 the next.

Knockaert doesnt have the greatest pace but he has very quick feet. Nugent isnt as fast as the others but he isnt slow. He is faster then most centre halfs in the league
Scoring one more than the opponents gets just as many points as 6 more goals, just wish we had a bit more composure when we do have a 2 goals cushion. The spirits defiantly there though, the amount of times we have gone behind this season and won is unheard of in Leicester.
Yep team spirit is sky high and a real bond you feel between the players, Never had that with Beckford, Mills etc in the squad! Pearson has done a fantastic job in shaping the squad.
