i remember spraizia giving a interview when he was caretaker on sky after we won and all the players walking past shouting give him the job, look how that finished those lazy bastards are the last people who should be involved in the process. them calling the manager bally in interviews shows a total lack of respect for the man. they should be running through walls for us, for the shirt and for the honour of turning out in front of our great support week in week out. if thats not enough they only need to log into thier online banking and have a look at thier balance. where is these guys pride in the job? why arent they busting a gut to get us out of the situation they have got us in instead of rallying support for who they want in the hot seat. most of our squad need to take a good hard look at themselves as they are not performing well enough and if it was any other industry they could be sacked for not performing
im with smug on this one, if kb wants to be a manager it needs to be at another club where the players are'nt so familiar, also it sounds like the players are picking the team .
Reminded me of when RDM was unveiled at Chelski and John Terry sat next to him at the press conference. When asked if the players were happy with the newly appointed 'manager' JT patted him on the head and said "we are all happy to have Robbie." Awful to watch.... Of course they were happy.. They'd got AVB the sack as he 'dared' to drop some of the big names and robbie just let the players pick the team. Mmmm... Rings a bell??

I may not always agree with what you say, but defend to the hilt your right to say it. And in this case you are 100% correct. As soon as Ball took the job even temporarily as coach, he became the boss not Bally ffs! Unless JOS is on "Shorty" terms with the owner of course.
Think most of you have got side tracked here, I merely pointed that Bally was temporary and coming into the realsm of the last autocrat could have given a more inspiring and relaxed team talk than PDC's rants. When he is permanent then he can assert his authority, but I am sure that he will not have to as the players probably know a gaffer when they deal with one.

Thanks, I only ever post what I truly believe so will always stand by it. There's something totally rotten at our club and PDC was like a 'whistle blower' who'd found out what it was. Whenever the employees of any company collude together to oust the manager, in order to maintain things as they wish, then there's something seriously wrong. I really hate to say this but I'm beginning to suspect that the 'senior pros' and Kevin Ball are in 'this' together whatever 'this' is. Di Canio was doomed to failure because none of us really like being told the harsh truth if we're honest. The players at Sunderland are lazy, unprofessional and out of control but don't like to be informed of that. I think even those supporters who despise Di Canio suspect that he may well have been onto something and will look back and wish he could have sorted things out. And I really believe that.

Those methods, and principles, appear to be 'work hard, do the right things, pull together and fight for the cause'. If the players at Sunderland can't accept that then we're well & truly ****ed. If they want 'Bally' because he's 'one of the lads' then we're well & truly ****ed. If they believe they can come to this club and run it 'their way' then etc etc etc .........
When Mignolet got between the sticks majority on here wanted Westwood back when he recovered but he proved us all wrong. I think Westwood, at that time, was a much more confident keeper and instilled much more confidence in his defence - and I also think that letting Mig go for £9m riusing to £12m could cost us more than that as I reckon he'd have done better with quite a lot of the goals/crosses put into the middle as he is that good a keeper!! False ecopnomy??
i couldn't agree more.....i was going to say let's see what the Man Utd game brings in terms of who plays, and how well they play. but it's pretty certain the old guard will appear in the team and we'll get rolled over.
SAFC is becoming a ****ing rest home for the washed out, the kids who think they've made it and the 'golf handicap' brigade. I've never had such a dip in interest for years. I even felt better during the 'low points' seasons. PDC was our chance to completely change the stinking attitude at the club and now he's gone. All because the players & some supporters couldn't handle being shuffled out of their cosy little routine. I'm convinced that even those who hate Di Canio will look back with regret at what's happened.
