The way the season is panning out, I can't be so certain on who will finish where.. Top 6-7 can beat each other, teams like Swansea, Southampton, Villa, West Brom will continue to causes upsets. What I'm trying to say, this could be the year that Everton will make it into the top 4 (hopefully along with us) teams like Chelsea, ManU don't, Southampton could finish in EL places.. Or, give it another 10 games and normal service could be resumed. I guess we'll have a better idea come Jan.
i blogged my predictions before the season starte don this very site and frankly.. i am probably sticking with them despite two awfully bad starts. I predicted. 1. city 2. chelsea 3. utd. 4. spurs Right now i think actually arsneal should take utd's spot and spurs will challenge while cheslea scrape in.... however things change so i am kind of holding off on arsenal as one injury and then the back line falls apart. 5th to 7th is anyones guess.... I put 3 everton players in my FF team and don't regret it yet.... LFc for 6th? lukaku is the one guy i think who might influence it. lfc for 6th... still stand by it, not overly impressed with our midfield and i am hoping rodgers picks the right side from here on in (4 at the back, 3 in centre of midfield)
There's at least 6 or 7 clubs in with a realistic chance of putting in a sustained challenge for the top 4 this season imo. City, Arsenal & Chelsea are givens to be there or thereabouts, despite their awful start United will be back in the mix come May. Spurs have really impressed me so far this season, despite bedding in a whole host of new signings, they're still getting results & they'll get better as the season goes on, as they have real strength in depth now. Then of course there's our 2 clubs, who've both improved their squads & look good so far, so neither will be far off the pace. The race could go right to the wire imo, with the top 4 places & maybe even the title being up for grabs right until the death.
lol, he's getting better by the week, you can tangibly see his confidence growing & his decision making improving. We've known for a few years that he had the potential to be a special player & now under Martinez, he's getting the chance to prove it & boy is he taking it!
Maybe mate. I fully expect us to have a rocky patch in the none too distant & I would have never had us in with a chance of top 4 back in the summer, given the upheaval.
I agree, he has the potential to be (dare I say it) a World Class player. If he does move it will be for a lot of money, I read an interview where he says Gerrard has told him to stick with Everton and never move as it's his club and to always remember that.
The media are already trying to place him at United or Chelsea, but I hope he takes Gerrard's words to heart & looks back on how Rooney gave up his roots for a fistful of cash, before he'd earned his place as an Everton legend (I maintain that he regrets leaving so early to this day, as for me despite the money & trophies, he's never been totally fulfilled at United)
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/231438-Who-do-you-think-will-get-top-4 Interesting - I'd rather we went unnoticed though! Edit - just realised we have a top 4 thread, so feel free to move this comment mods

Very interesting. Like you say, I'd sooner they were writing us off. I assume that was on the spuds board?
