I can see a 1-1 draw here.... as long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot once again

You know... as much as my heart is wanting a win.... my head just tells me there's no chance. I'm sick of Pardew 'looking for a reaction'... it's now time for a convincing performance.

Doesn't matter mate. If we get a convincing performance a terrible, heartless performance will just be a game closer.

Reading, Sunderland, Liverpool, Man City, Everton...these aren't one off performances, they're occurring every four matches. We have no long term strategy and no reason for long term optimism with Pardew as our manager.

Ashley and Kinnear have performed badly but Pardew has done no better than either of them. Yes we all want a new owner but that isn't going to happen so the next best thing is a new approach on the field with new manager with fresh ideas.

Our form this season makes an absolute mockery of Pardew's "we were tired from our midweek European game" drivel from last year. We were poorly organised and set up last season and this season is no different.

Everton and Man City were COMPLETE replica's of Sunderland and Liverpool meaning there has been zero improvement under Pardew over a 6 month period. We are in an ugly decline and I just don't think our players want to play for him which is both gutless and pathetic on their behalf but it's just how it is which is why it's time for him to go.

    He has to go.

The manager and defenders need to knuckle down this week. Changes need to be made throughout the team, and we need to be crossing the white line looking like a well drilled unit. I think the likes of Sissoko, Mbiwa, Debuchy, Santon, HBA need a royal kick up the jacksie that only a dropping can give. Colo needs to remember his role as captain, and we need to harder to beat. If we can concede we have to show a bit mental strength to not just collapse like a bunch of fairies. I hope but I don't expect.

It was interesting to look at the mental approach of their team to ours last night. The likes of Jagielka, Baines, Barkley, McCarthy, Distin, Barry, Coleman, Osman had a real desire about them, and gave them a solid look. Until we sort out this transfer strategy and realise we need to change the make up of our team, we'll keep seeing this mental collapse. The fans, the manager, all want british players in the ranks. Our history and best managers have spoken of the virtue and importance. We simply must change our ways.

We won't though, we'll probably appoint Joe or get a french manager and plough on into scraping PL survival.

Getting to the stage where I don't really care. It's getting worse and worse. The players won't fight for Pardew, he gets little more right than writing down the best eleven players' names. But he won't go. Ashley has no bigger ambition than finishing 17th. Anything better, great, but it's not really interesting because revenue won't really go up. He's seen what happens in finishing 5th - Europe does little to add to the coffers, yet is a costly, beastly thing. Keeping Pardew is cheap and easy. The only thing that might make him change his mind is if we swapped places with someone like Sunderland and were rock bottom of the division. Maybe. But even then I would fear for the quality of any replacement. There would be no decent name. We wouldn't even get RDM or the like, once they peeled back the covers. No, I sincerely fear for the club at the moment. I am still addicted to the club, but it's more like enjoying a drink than smoking crack now. I played 5-a-side instead of watchng the match yesterday.

Debuchy hasn't contributed much lately, I'd be thinking of giving him a rest and maybe letting Dummett show us what he can do.

I fully expect us to win against Cardiff to calm us down a little before the fixture list.
Didn't see the game tbf but sounds like we recovered from a truly shocking first half. That breeds promise in my mind from a game we didn't expect to win. If pardew can show some bollocks and give the likes of Dummett a start to end the illusion of players having some rite to the first team my faith in Pardew would increase ten-fold.
The problem is if Pardew goes we get Kinnear, you really think he's going to do better than pards wh this team? the pinnacle of the guys career was managing Wimbledon for ****s sake.
    Imagine that:
"Okay ben arfa i've seen your namb-pamby skills and frankly their ****. You and remy start breaking some ****ing legs or you're I'll sell you to my gullible friend Fergie".

I thought it came on once a month, not lasted for a month.....<laugh> Tell Pards that tampons are not the answer - try a cork in that defence instead. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Good to see you guys down at the CCS again on the weekend. We had a pre-season game against you lot last year when you were in the Prem and us still in the Champ. Your support even for that friendly was fantastic.

Good vocal efforts on the day lads, but you were better in the stands than your team was on the pitch. We beat you 4-1 but I'm not going for that sort of game on Saturday. I think there'll still be some goals in this one - hopefully more for us than you.

Blame will always be laid wherever it can find a home - Pards/Kinnear/Ashley, or perhaps it's the players? As for us, Malky has certainly got managerial ability with great background support staff and supportive owners. Whether that translates into the right result for us on Saturday is quite another matter.

Those coming down, enjoy it whatever. <ok>

The trouble is, who do you play in his place ?

Santon ? Not much of an improvement.

Anita, Saylor, Mbiwa ? Square pegs, 2 of whom lack form and we need Anita in midfield.

    Haidara maybe ?

It's the Newcastle version of the Cardiff City v Newcastle United match day. Don't you have a similar thing going on your board each week?
