    Everton 1-0.

Moyes was heralded as a great at Everton, now he's gone they seem to be playing better and instead United have gone the other way <laugh>

Early days but still quite funny

Bingo... and that's been a big difference between Liverpool playing a "small" team and United playing s small team in recent years.

Small teams would roll over and show their belly to United... because they're united and they can't beat them.

Then a week later same team plays us and would play out of their skin best football of their lives because we're a prestigious scalp still because of big name... but we would be perceived as vulnerable and beatable... so they would push that little harder.

Now united are the highly prestigious scalp... but beatable... so every small team will want to crush them.

Uniteds reputation as unbeatable probably gave them an extra dozen points a year.

Same thing used to happen in F1 in the Schumacher years... everyone being lapped by Schumacher would pull over immediately. Mika Hakkinen? No I'm going to wait for the blue flag before I get out your way.

Exactly this! Clubs have come to beat us in recent years which is bizarre territory - these days most teams are good footballing teams and can pass through you and create chances!

I've won many bets after utd go 1-0 down and lumping on them as the opposition knows no better than to HANG ON FOR DEAR LIFE and get turned over. Hopefully more teams start having a go at them!

I understand that Moyes will have £50 - 100 mill in Jan for players. I was under the impression he had that available in the summer. Result? Fellaini <laugh>

Cost of Fellaini for a team in the Champions League buying before 31 July: £23.5m
Cost of Fellaini actually paid by Man Utd on deadline day: £27.5m

    FFS <doh> haha.

Can you ask your reporter mate if he's heard anything on Rodgers wanting to improve centre midfield in January?

He may have been holding Everton back with his rubbish football and now hes going to turn Man United into a laughing stock. What a legend.

Its proven the chap that wrote that original piece had a chronic case of undiagnosed dyslexia, he wanted to right "whiner" and ended up writing "winner" <doh>
