Hull who are 8th! I went to see Saints at Hull the season we got promoted and winning 2-0 there was generous...

 

Think we will get 8 or 9 points and I'd be very happy with that to be honest.

Does that make me a non-believer or just easy to please?

 

Remarkable how realistic most of us are being. Majority going 8-10 points.

 

In the first six, we had some strange results with the Liverpool one making up for dropped points in other games. Ended up with a good number of points and a strong position (due to even weirder results for some top sides). We need reasonable points in the next 6 where there are winnable games. The first six suggest to me that we will be relying on a strong defence which means we may get draws rather than the wins we hope for. There will be even tougher periods to come.

 

I think there comes a time when you perform so consistently well against the big teams that it doesn't become an anomaly. We set out in such a way that really gives us a chance (both home and away) against the likes the Chelsea, City and Liverpool (all of whom we beat on an aggregate score over the season last year!) and then add in our 2 performances against Utd (and Fergie's famed words about us at OT) and you have a team more than capable of beating any side

2 Points a game? Is that one for a draw and one for being prettier than the opposition?

12 Points and we would all be in dreamland.

That would be the game that their manager Nick Barmby said we were the best team in the league and totally outplayed them? And we did. Should have been more than 2

 

Went for a Swansea draw and a pessimistic 6 points so we are ahead of the game.

 

Snap. The old Saints would have messed up yesterday but I feel really confident about the next few games. There seems to be a real belief amming the players.

Yes the old Saints would have screwed things up and lost next week at home to Fulham. Pretty confident that won't happen
