Bit harsh on Garrido IMO. He is sometimes very long ball happy but lets' not forget he is our best crosser.

Bring back Bassong for Turner, not to bothered about the other two, maybe have Redmond sit on Terrys shoulder for 20 mins if we are winning.

I've never rated him personally, we have better players. Just my opinion.

I never even realised Garrido was injured, just presumed it was a tactical decision. Would like to see Bassong back for Turner, Pilkington offers more than Redmond so I think Pilks should stay.

Depends though, how is CH gonna play it. Is Garrido more of a defensive selection than Olsson?

He'll probably play it defensive, Olsson has the pace and power to deal with their wide players, Chelsea are going to try out do us with pace and technical ability lets face it their much better team on paper then us, perhaps we can use the disarray at their club to our advantage, if we get a draw though I'll be happy.

When we played them at Carrow road on boxing day they used Luiz as a holding midfielder and gave Mata and co free reign up front.

I think the special one does not like using Luiz like this so the game may be a bit different, I'm not sure what to expect to be honest.

One things for sure they have amazingly creative players so I think we have to get in their faces and close down space fast and get tight. I think we should keep Tettey in to help protect our back four and Bassong in for Turner.

It will be one upfront I think, can't see us going with 2, we would get murdered in midfield. I would use Hooper as I think he is more of a poacher and is good at holding play up. I don't think there will be the space in the middle that RvW needs to be effective.

doesn't take a genius to say that bassong should play! i'd go with bennett alongside him, redmond on the bench

Agree with the consensus. I thought Ryan Bennett warranted a starting place into the season after his form at the end of last season. Still think he is becoming a really solid Premier League centre half. Probably are most underrated player in 2013.

And with any luck Mata on the bench to would be good please Jose !

I have to say that Bassong looked dodgy against Villa and the Turner / Bennett partnership has looked very good since. No doubt Bassong will take a spot but it is harsh on whoever loses out. Pilks should stay and use Redmond for impact as has been said. Again Olsson would be unlucky to miss out but that would be more tactical. It is nice for CH to have some problems of this nature and does show that we are settling down as a squad and progressing.

I think Olsson playing allows Pilks licence to get forward and 'roam' a bit more. Plus he's better at bombing forward or overlapping and two or three crosses he whipped in on Saturday could have been very productive.
Both Olsson and Martin impressed me vs Stoke as they both took up advanced positions at every opportunity - although this, of course, is less likely against Chelsea.

would be harsh for ryan b to lose his place, i can see it happening though as the manager seems to prefer turner and bassong

I agree, and wonder if his hamstring was 100% even before he went off as he looked uncharacteristically sluggish when chasing back for their goal. If he's fully fit then I'd bring him in for Turner to play alongside Ryan personally, however if there is still any doubt about his hammy then I'd rather not risk him doing more damage and would wait until he is 100%

With regards to the centre half pairing. I think any combination of the 3 would do us proud, but does anyone know what each CB's prefered side is? I would imagine that that would perhaps be a factor high up in any decision making process. I.e. Bass as senior man and the best defender, so probably gets his side the other two play the other irrespective of preference, but if e.g. Turner favours that side and Bennet the other, it would only be natural to pick Turner.
Does anyone know? I believe Bass is a lefty and the other two righty's which would imply that perhaps Bass + another would hold the best balance.

    Bah!
