He may be as mad as a bag of frogs but Mel came up trumps with Apocalypto, fanastic film and sublime ending. Others to recommend: Hidden Tell No One The Kite Runner
Another I forgot, Throne of Blood, Japanese version of MacBeth, Kurosawa again. Best death scene in a movie...ever.
Has anyone watched The Hunt yet? Honestly, it's a fantastic film. I give you permission to take the day off work and go rent/buy/download the film and marvel at it.
To be honest, it's just like his other film, The Passion of the Christ. It's half 'n hour of "hey, everything's great" and "this is living the life!" etc. followed by an hour and a half of abject misery. It's a film you can watch once but you'd never want to repeat the experience. In my opinion anyway.
Do HMV still even exist anymore? Am no a thief either ****o I thought those shops went the way of the dinosaurs. Piratebay is my one stop shop for music and films.
What a bunch of pretentious ****s. I'll watch anything with Vanessa Paradis or Beatrice Dalle getting their kit off.
BTW watched Everybody Has a Plan and Thérèse Desqueyroux last weekend, rented them as well. They were both good films, recommended and who doesn't like to look at Audrey Tautou please log in to view this image
Aye, there's still the big one on Princes Street. I usually buy my DVDs from FOPP. Get some good deals.
