Sunlan lose 1-3 to Liverpool, today. They remain bottom with one point from 6 games. (Not on here shouting and boasting now, are they? Funny........)
Thought they rallied well in the second half, but the scousers were better over all. Still a long long way to go, so all of this is a bit premature. Fortunes can change. We'll both be down there come the end of the season.
More importantly we need to keep on picking up the points. If we do then who cares how Sunderland or Palace do.
Yeah that's true, but It does help with recruitment in January if they're still behind us! Players do have a look at the league table!
http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...the-transfer-department?p=5194690#post5194690 I had a daft bet with three of them at the start of the season. Post 16
I think Sunderland will come good, but I have faith that we will have a good season. Signing Huddlestone and Livermore gave me a lot of belief. I wasn't sure about Davies but he has started brilliantly. It's also been great to see so many of our untested players rise to the new standards needed. How long it continues is anyone's guess.
Without counting chickens I think it is reasonable to suggest we could be considerably distant from Sunlan after their game at the KC.They could surprise us all but I doubt it
I watched their game in a local pub with my son, who has followed Liverpool for 25yrs, since he was 7yrs old in Germany (gobby scouse regiment); aye, he's a proper plastic! My point is that they are desperately down, they have a team that is unconvincing no matter who pulls the strings, they have a chairman who is scarily unpredictable and they know, from past experience, that this is a league that you cannot get left behind in. I don't want to see them go down, we need North East teams in the PL (I need home games!), but it sure isn't looking good. Tony Pullis would be my choice for them, but that goes against everything they have convinced themselves they are. Reality bites. methinks.
Anyone who thinks the folk on our board can get a bit shirty wants to pop over there. It's carnage at the moment.
Ball did well with picking them up midweek and they did ok yesterday. I think he'll stay there for a while. Hopefully, results don't change.
Unfortunately 2 out of their next 3 games are against Cardiff and Sunderland so they will probably pick up some points soon.
From the names in the frame (in terms of the bookmakers): ideally I’d like Sunlan to appoint Stuart Pearce but if not Poyet or Kevin Ball would suffice.
