If we sack SOD then the board need to walk.

I do not believe it for one minute,he is the right man.

If for any reason this happened the board will be the laughing stock of the football world.

Give it time this club will thrive under his leadership.

I cannot believe what i am reading.

The big mess he took over, he needs the time to sort it.

Bit like the Tories when they took control after the last goverments shambles which nearly bankrupt the country. It takes time to rectify it.

I know I have never been regarded as a voice of reason on this site but I see potential problems with what shiny is saying he has heard from a reliable source.

In reality I wonder daily where we are going and all the rhetoric in the world will not convince me that we have found our saviour in SOD, but nonetheless any manager who is hired under strict conditions to, not only, improve our lot in life but to make the club better placed financially to conform with the strict guidelines of FFP regulations requires time to meet all those criteria.

Clearly on field performances are way below most supporter's expectations but the overall mix of the new order is not solely based on a single factor but rather the entire scope of operating a football club successfully. Most times you have to rob Peter to pay Paul and that is what we are experiencing in our quest to rebuild a damaged team that has been brought to it's knees through past excesses that were left unchecked for far too long.

Re-inventing the ingredients to bring us back to stability will not happen overnight and firing the coach due to a bad run of results will never give you instant results but there has to be a definitive line in the sand beyond which no-one should be expected to cross unless it is at their own peril. If that line is indeed a loss vs Port Vale, then so be it, but that would surely bring in to question the competence of the board at Ashton Gate, and that is a very familiar question over the last several years.

My opinion on the last 2 or 3 managers that have held the reins at Ashton Gate are well documented and do not need to be restated right now but should shiny's thread actually be true then we are in for another stormy voyage on the good ship "Bristol City" so batten down the hatches. Doesn't anybody know of a suitable admiral of our fleet?

The only way he has one game left would be if city had a big hammering.

I also cant see if happening yet as even the fans that want him gone the best they can say is sod off. Both McInnes and Millen went in the end due to the fans reaction and the fact they lost the dressing room. So far i dont think it has got that bad as a lot of fans and players are still supportive.

Nah, not true, and not a good idea. For all my rantings about SOD, there is no point sacking him unless there is someone already lined up to take over, which knowing our board, is definitely not the case.

while U KIP I will be a bit conservatative and generally be liberal with my comments about the labour of love SOD has to achieve, the monster looney ravers out there who cry off with his head, are probably a bit green behind the ears. Communistically we should all stick together and not be independent with our views..so lets get behind the leader and whip in the defectors so we may have a common party........................
