Not a bad list Hoopton - even if we only managed to secure the services of a couple of these it would be a start! Once NW gets back behind his desk and starts chasing players, I'm sure we will see some activity - In Neil We Trust!!!!

Chris Brunt has already stated that he wants to remain with WBA, I do not agree that Cuddacini is a better keeper than Cerny, but would like to see the likes of Long, Clyne,Wayne and Kyle Naughton at Loftus Road.

I agree with some of them

Although have seen suggestions Long is likely to go for more like £6-7 million, which would seem out of our price range.

Ashley Williams and Jacob Butterfield would also be good additions, but what we really need are a few good men up front. Danny Graham was both good and cheap, and above all available (rare commodities), which is perhaps why his snub has been so badly taken. In my weaker moments I'm even starting to look at John Carew in a new light . . . send help now.

I hope that Long will be priced out of our range - the Plastics can keep him. I'd almost rather have Marlon King. At least when he takes a fall it's off the pitch....

Wouldn't touch Bullard or Keane but would be fine with the rest

Alan Smith available you say? Well we do need a new striker...

Things will start to happen, we just need to be patient.

Warnock was on holiday but is back now so I'm sure he's very busy. David M has said he expects us to spend quiet a bit and secure a fair few players.

As much as we hate Ecclestone, he is a very successful businessman and he, just like any one of us knows that the £80 million you get for being in the premiership each year, is a lot more than the £30 million spread over 3 years you get as a parachute payment when you are relegated.

Eccelstone knows we will have to invest to stay up, it's the only way for us to make enough money to be financial viable as a club. This is key to him, otherwise he is losing money! But he's losing money at the moment with the club making £30 million loss over the last 3 years, so he doesn't want to lose anymore.

But there is a fine balancing act between sensible investment over blind spending in the hope it brings success. Most fans would love to see him blow a fortune, but that wouldn't guarantee success and could just as easily see us relegated.

There is a sense of de ja vu from last summer, all of us on a high last summer having seen Warnock produce a miracle transformation of our team that looked destined for the drop. Only to see him sign Sean Derry (has been), Clint Hill (has been), Jamie Mackiey (who?) and Paddy Kenny (fat drug taking Irishman), which led most fans to spend the entire summer saying we were doomed and would be in a relegation battle with signings like that. It was only Adel signing on the day before the season kick-off that saw some fans sing a cautious note of optimism.

But the rest is history. But history is repeating itself and many fans are on the brink of a coronary. But my mantra is the same as it was last summer, "In Warnock we trust". And it will continue to be my mantra until the day it becomes "sack Warnock". But that will only happen reluctantly if we are close to relegation.

So for now let's just see what happens and remember that Warnock is a man manager and can bring out the best in most, so whoever we sign will be an improvement.

The future's bright, the future's hoops in blue and white!

The Players, I forgot the players.

Agree with the list with the exception of Bullard. I love the ugly mug as a player, but alas he is one of many great players that never quiet made it big due to injury. He's on high wages and we could get stuck with a large wage bill for someone earning it on the treatment room table.

Seriously think we should be going for Jay Bothroyd as he's a free agent.

Warnock is the key. It will be him that persuades the board to part with cash for certain players. It will be his choice of players, both current and new, and the way in which he builds, mixes and organizes the team that will mean the difference between success and failure and not how many big names onbig salaries we have.
