I know Everton away is not the best place to try and perform and pick up results but Newcastle have been a shambles so far. A few of us predicted heavy victories for Everton in the predictions league but I doubt any of us thought it'd be this easy.

Newcastle are a strange team. They have some real classy players and sometimes they play brilliantly but when they are even slightly off form they get completely battered all over the pitch.

Any Norwich fan thinking how bad it is for us should have a look at Newcastle. I'm honestly shocked to see they are on the same points as us in the table!

Makes our opening day 2-2 draw with Everton look a decent result.
I know they didn't have Lukaku, but we didn't have Fer available. <ok>

    And they still had Fellaini.

And boy, am I glad they didn't have Lukaku. He was immense for WBA last season. There have been some very unexpected results this weekend to say the least!!!

It all started with that 8 year contract... lol.

Looking bad for both Newcastle and Sunderland at the moment.

Poor buggers, no one deserves that. Surely Pardew's days are numbered now, that's the second pasting they have had in the last six games! Purely for selfish reasons I want him to stay though :emoticon-0116-evilg

Ironically, I can see Everton pushing on under Martinez and out performing the Moyes era.

How Everton let that get back to 3-2 is beyond me. The only reason I can think for Newcastle not being lower down the league is they have Ben Arfa and Cabaye who can produce wonder goals. But then both our wins have come from decent strikes from outside the box so we can't say much.

I never really understood the criticism Martinez used to get. A lot of people seemed to think he was overrated, what he done at Wigan was superb. To keep them up year after year was brilliant. I know it's early days at Everton but I agree, I think he will do a great job there.

I had Everton down for 6th place at the start of the season and have no reason to change that view, unless it is to revise it up a place or two.Newcastle are not relegation candidates IMO.

I turned off at 3-0 and was surprised to see the final scroe at 3-2, I guess Everton took the foot off the pedal.
Like Cruyff I don't see newcastle going down, pre-season I went for Sunderland (due to Di Canio), Palace and either another promoted side or Stoke. Nothing really has changed my mind although Fulham are struggling. Newcastle will spend in January if they need to.
I did hear that Kinnear was smiling at half time in the Director's box - does he know something?

Cabaye scored a pearler and then Remy got a tap in in the 88th minute. They were never really in danger of losing the lead but they weren't as good as the first half and Newcastle weren't as bad.
