David Davies and Alan Johnson are nationally respected and from different sides of the house.

    And so Allam can't wait
    He wants a name change
    It's something we don't buy
    Our soul slides away
    Now we are Hull Tigers
    And it's really gay

To the tune of Don't Look Back in Anger. Ish.

My comment was aimed at the METRO article. Where's it gone?
BTW Ku De Ta is comedy gold.

Don't seem to being doing too good with the local media.
HDM and Radio Humberside seem to have given up on it.

Look North mentioned it, showing posters and badges being given out.
Then they interviewed 3 supporters, one wanted 'Hull City, The Tigers'. one wasn't bothered either way and one rather liked the name change.
Hardly portrayed as a resounding success.

I await the Allam's Poster and Badge campaign.

I don't have a Masters in Media Studies or Journalism, but I believe they call it 'Editorial Balance' in the trade.

Just reading the minutes of the second meeting....

9,000 leaflets were handed out and 2,800 badges. They must be slightly disappointed therefore at only adding an additional 100 followers to their Twitter account since Saturday.

Nail in the coffin asking for donations at this stage anyhow. Can't even get fans who are already present at the ground to join a slow march, never mind press a donate to paypal button.

Wasn't there a proposal earlier/on another thread, to put a Twitter link on the leaflet? Or did I imagine it?

True, its a forum and as such I posted what was shown on the TV. Not all people on this forum have access to our local media and are solely reliant upon these thread, which sometimes seems convey that there are no voice either for the name change or not bothered either way, but that it was 'Anti name change or WUMs'.

Do you not think that the Allam's will put their point forward?
When they do it will be a case of it being 'needed to bring in funds to continue the forward advancement of the club', that he is presently the only benefactor and when needed no other local businessman was willing to dip their hands into their pockets (although there was brief mention of trying to get someone to contribute 5 million, but never happened).

What benefit he brings to the club (funding the club) verses the benefit being brought by the AFC brigade (recommending withholding funds).
He will do that - if he does decide to put it to a vote, which personally I don't think he will, but somewhere along the line he will, things are too quiet at the moment.

I hope for his sake he's thought through his comments this time.

He's been pretty embarrassing on the subject so far.
