Yeah he has been on bench past 3 of 4 games ive just looked (Alberto), wasnt against Sunderland Was not brought on in any of those games though to be fair
When focused is my worry I've seen games where his positioning is poor, not saying he'd be a bad signing just one that I'd be a little concerned with as I'm not sure he's quite right for us. With the Valencia situation though if we can get him at a good price then I think he's worth a gamble.
That is why I bring him up as he is a quality player and think that a new move and a fresh start could be what is needed for him.
What Dr said I'm confused as to why BR would spend £7m on him and not play him? I'd rather see him come on atm before Sterling and possibly even Aspas.
Me too, its a lot of cash for us especially with an improved Suso returning. Mind you Assiadi was a strange one as well, he never got a sniff really but at least Alberto is making the bench where Assiadi didnt (majority of time) Even to just bring him on for 10 mins and let him get some game time I too would like to see him brought on instead of Aspas + Sterling at the min, Ibe as well over Sterling
I agree from what I've seen he looks a good player, we need to build a comfortable lead at home and then get these players on.
Think not playing Sterling will teach him a lesson, sort of like if you don't step up then you won't be played, period. Every time I've seen Alberto he has impressed me, would like to see him get some game time, even if it's just 10 minutes like you say.
Might seem a daft question but where does he play in mid? I thought he was a Cout type but in pre season he played more in the Gerrard 'ball mover' role didnt he?
Shaddapa your face, just because such modern techniques have never even been whispered on Finch Farm no need to be bitter Score tonight? Bookies have you as clear favs offering 5-1 for a Newc win
