We know, few of us are still rather sore about that! Mystifying decision from the club, think he and AVB fell out.

My Rs mate reckons BAE's the best player in the Championship by a mile.

Again Tom Huddlestone wins a man of the match performance this weekend, as he totally controls the midfield along with Jake Livermore, who hit the post in the game. Very exciting season for us, after making a good start. Livermore also interviewed after the game, went on radio to say that he would be happy to join us permanently in January.

With a bit more business probably happening in January for Spurs, you may well get Livermore signed.

Already having a clause in the agreement seems like Spurs are willing to let him go anyway. £3.5 million if the rumoured amount. An amount, we'd pay im sure. He's a very good player for us, certainly enjoying his run in the team

£3.5m? Doesn't sound like a very Levy amount. The clause sounds a little out of character, too.
Where did this information come from, if you don't mind me asking?

Tom Carroll had his best 90 minutes in a hooped shirt Saturday, and it beats me how Rose & Naughton get the left back spot ahead of BAE, he is wasted in this division,

I'm sceptical about this £3.5m figure too. Levy would be looking to get atleast 10 times that amount for Livermore you'd think...

It probably has a hefty selling-on fee attached to it.

Good point. Taarabt and Dos Santos are good recent examples of that, with fees of 40% and 50%, respectively.

Its a decision made NOT on footballing ability. He had discipline issues, same offence repeated time and time again, happy to accept fines. You cannot reward poor behaviour with a first team berth. Maybe you could put this in a thread on your board, save us replying to each individual that keeps coming here with the same issue, valid question of course, but it might be worth putting it out there. You've got him by default, so make the most of it! :)

So Steve McClaren goes back to Derby. I wonder how this might affect Adam Smith there.

Probably not a popular view, but I think this is something of a coup for Derby. They're punching above their weight a bit with that appointment.
I know that McClaren's viewed as something of a comedy figure, but he's experienced, successful, well connected and high profile.
Hopefully he'll give Smith a chance to prove himself and help to bring him on.

The good thing about McClaren is he'll be able to communicate with any Dutch players they might sign. :)

If he can keep a clean sheet, he'll get games. That's the only thing McClaren is interested in - which is why Twente fans turned on him, bringing banners marked "Clean ****" to describe the football they were playing.

QPR may now start playing better football as while McCLaren was there I think they equalled their club record for consecutive clean sheets, and I always believed if Redknapp had a proper assistant like Mclaren (who was superb for utd) then Redknapp would have been a much more successful manager.

Although I'm not sure what McCLarens role was at QPR, if he was just a defensive coach, or part time coach but hopefully it won't effect QPR as their fans have been complaining about the dull football, which is unlike Redknapp teams.

I seem to remember Jol's Ajax having a ludicrous goal difference that season, +86, yet losing to Twente's +40...

Glad to hear good things for Huddlestone and Livermore, and thanks to them are hoping you do well this season. Two of the nicer footballers around, from all I've heard. Too bad there's no chance you'll sit Huddlestone as well as Livermore against us. I have the feeling he'll have a big game, and he's got two chances in four days to have one.
