Most replies to my opinion seems to have missed "at the moment"

No way am I saying that Bunn is better than Ruddy,
but Ruddy is no better than Bunn "at the moment"

As for being vertically challenged Bunn is 1.83 mtr or 6ft + same as Peter Shilton
Gordon Banks regarded by many as Englands best ever is 1.84 mtr or 6ft /1/2inch

Against Watford,Bunny made a couple of really top class saves, and
IMO had no chance with either goal.
Against Spurs Ruddy was at fault with 2nd goal.He went down
    like a sack of spuds.

Bear also in mind that Bunn normally has 2nd choice
    defenders in front of him.

I can't see that? If anything, while Ruddy was out last season and Bunn had an extended run in the side, Hughton almost always set up with two holding midfielders, both at home and away, to afford him extra protection. 6 players 'protecting' a 'keeper <yikes>

Bunn is definitely short for a modern keeper, and the stat about us conceding more goals than any other team from outside the box speaks for itself.

That being said, I think you have, to an extent, a point - our two 'keepers are definitely closer in skill now than pre-injury of Ruddy. And Bunn is technically excellent and a first rate stop shotter inside the box, but I'm of the opinion that Ruddy's presence is the part which cannot be underestimated because all Premier League 'keepers are fantastic shot stoppers. So that's what really makes him our number one and I can't really agree with you overall.

Never disputed that Ruddy is No 1 Rob,
but like you I think they are closer on
    ability than others think.<cheers>

On the point about kicking, is it a coincidence that both JR and Joe Hart seem to be suffering from the same disease at the same time? They both seem prone to boot their goal kicks directly into touch -- it was noticeable in Hart's case, for example, in recent England games. I'm wondering if there is now a preference for goal kicks to be aimed at the forward wide players, rather than more centrally. And could that be because neither England nor ourselves now play with big target man up front? <ok>

I still feel more confident when Ruddy is in goal. Coming back from a long injury will obviously have some effect, but he's still doing a good job and will get better with each game.

What I am concerned about is his lack of distribution by hand this season. I was critical of Bunn for this last season and when Ruddy came back it was noticeable that he threw the ball out frequently, thus our quality improved because we retained possession from the keeper. Is this a training plan, in which case, why?
