We're only six games into the season and Giroud has already got a better strike rate than a 1 in 2 that you said he should be getting. That speaks for itself and is the only real fact here, the rest is just your opinion.
What a run. I reckon Wenger didn't tell the players that last season was over so they've continued their great run of form. What's suprising is we missed 3 key players and still beat a tough Swansea away. This bodes well for us.
So what? When people say Ronaldo has a 1:1 goal per game record for Madrid they don't mean that he literally scores 1 goal every game. So even though Giroud has 5 goals in 9 games I don't know why you expect him to score 1 goal every other game otherwise it won't count.

The point is, that even 'elite' players will go a few games without scoring. That doesn't mean that they are suddenly ****. What you have to look at is their overall record. You say Giroud isn't 'elite' and yet he's still got a better record than 1 in 2 so far this season. That is the only thing you can properly judge him on. Even if it doesn't suit your opinion of him.
There is an easy and obvious. No striker literally scores a goal every 2 games throughout their career. Henry didn't, Messi doesn't, Ronaldo doesn't. The point being, if the worlds best don't, you can't expect Giroud to. You seem to have a gross misunderstanding of the way averages and probability are applied.
My personal feeling is that A87 wants to set an unrealistic bar for Giroud in order that he can slate him at any opportunity, because he doesn't like him. But the fact is that he is not only scoring a good amount of goals for Arsenal, he is also linking up really well with his team mates and creating goals for other players. There's not much more that you could ask from him at the moment and it's a little bit of desperation that is unraveling before his detractors eyes at the moment. Some people get so entrenched in their view of a player that they end up being blind to the actual contribution that they make. It happened with Waclott, it happened with Ramsey and some people are beginning to be proved wrong with Giroud too.

You brought up the concept of 'Elite' players, I simply said that Giroud had surpassed the expectation you devised of an 'Elite' player. Also I haven't said that you said he was ****, so climb down of your small horse and recognise the contribution that Giroud is making to the team
Btw, I don't dislike Giroud, I actually like him, I don't think we should get rid of him, not now, and not in the summer time, but I just have high standards now for what our striker should do, he should've scored that chance VS Swansea, he needs to step his game up massively this season, needs a goal VS Napoli and I predicted he will be our goal scorer.
I'd say that anything more than 2O would be a good return, especially as he's providing goals for other players around the team too
Is Neymar an elite player? NO, unless you bought all the bullshit hype, he hasn't proven himself to be elite, not yet at least.
It seems a little harsh - he had a 1:1.9 goalscoring ration for Santos and has a 1:1.6 ratio for Brazil. He's easily one of the best young prospects in the world and has hit the ground running at Barca.
Getting it done in Brazil doesn't make you elite in my book, I don't say he's ****, but I definitely don't think he was the best youngster out there as some were making him out to be. If there was a chance to get him at Arsenal, I'd have taken it, but I'd know we were signing a very good young prospect with big potential, not an elite player yet.
I guess it depends on how you define elite. I'm fairly sure we touched on this argument during last season, but what one of us might judge as elite the other might not. Without knowing the guidelines neither side is right or wrong (within reason of course).
