Yeah he could have done a quick couple of press ups and then tapped it in. Hendo made him that space though, so fair do's to him for that Nice to speak to you over the weekend you old badger-shagger...
Now here is the tricky bit. When Coutinho is back does one have to play wide? I really like seeing Suarez and Sturridge side by side, and Moses is pretty good in behind. But the system over all is not so good. ------------Mignolet---------- -Johnson-Toure-Agger-Enrique- -------------Lucas------------ -Henderson-Gerrard-Coutinho--- -------Sturridge-Suarez-------- ------------Mignolet---------- -Johnson-Toure-Agger-Enrique- ---------Lucas--Gerrard------- ----Coutinho--------Moses---- -------Sturridge-Suarez-------
Not the best (yet...) Not the worst.. Be glad they play for us, long may their partnership continue develop! Looking forward to the return of Ford, would love to see a period of 10-15 games when these guys can play together, don't think we've had that pleasure yet.
Hi mate. Yep, we're all well. It's been one really hectic, long summer - my feet have barely touched the ground due to various events/happenings/mishaps etc. Hopefully I'll be around a bit more from now on.
i said before we have a pair of strikers that should give us minimum 50 goals per season between them and I still stand by that. with ford back soon it could be a real pleasure to watch.
Even with Suarez being banned, and neither Suarez nor Sturridge being our penalty takers; Sturridge (6) + Suarez (2) = 8 Rooney (3) + RVP (3) = 6 Aguero (3) + Dzeko (2) = 5 Aguero (3) + Negredo (2) = 5 Giroud (4) + Ozil (0) = 4 Soldado (2) + Eriksen (0) = 2 We have the best (2-man) strike partnership in the league
really.... do you not think beating the disastrous sunderland should not be taken too highly and that expecting the two to improve over where they are now is not unreasonable... especially seeing the first goal was nothing to do with a partnership but a handball and in the second two you might call sturridge a winger. some can uput like like they expect 50 goals out of them.. that's fine by me. my way of putting it is i expect them to work hard and improve and then i assume the goals come as a result. I just like to focus on the work, put the work in and the reward will come. I can't wait to see when it really is up to scratch to my liking. then it'll be sweet.
I totally agree with you MITO - I was just questioning why you made the point of singling out one game when they've clicked very well on numerous occasions
