I didn’t say I wanted it to take that long, of cause I want it to happen much quicker than that. And I think your right about Ross and Sam, they don’t want to wait that long. But if we don’t have the money then what can we do? We can’t change the manager all the time.
Oh and yes I also hope the chairman didn't say that and I honestly don't know if he did. It was something I pick up on ja606. Because as you say, he is not a football man
The only source I have seen for the chairmans quote is on JA, anyone else know if he did? I can only repeat in my own words what someone else said recently: its odd how all these managers who can manage to get promotion at other clubs seem to fail when they come to Leeds. Just maybe its not the managers............
Can't believe Clive's been banned. I had no problem with him whatsoever. You lot should grow some balls and man up ****ing joke
Morning All, I found this on newsnow. http://robertatkinson61.wordpress.c...n-be-trying-to-pass-the-buck-by-rob-atkinson/ Shows the chairman's tweets (assuming they are real). salah nooruddin @salahnooruddin We are looking to bring a striker and a winger... BUT with current squad we should have won today!!! The worrying thing for me is that our chairman is basically saying that our current squad can achieve our goals without further investments (albeit we are 'looking' to get players in).
that is the exact tweet he put I saw it, and I totally agree strikers/wingers or not that team should have beaten a mediocre Millwall
LIE, he was causing me no ends of hassle work wise and distrupting most threads with his Grayson/McDermott out (yep still) bullshit. Whilst I agree with your sentements & echo what Sheldon said about clive acting more honourably than a few on here what is done is done. Clive has been banned here before and has had guidance and warnings about his posts. I'm no fan of the ban hammer, you can see that by the relaxed attitude compared to many other sites but enough is enough. Hopefully we can just all move on now. More than happy to discuss via PM and I cant please everyone everytime which I'm sure you understand
Bucks I appreciate you don't need the hassle and additional work, but I'm just wondering why Simon21 doesn't help with the workload anymore - he is still a mod after all. Maybe it's time to appoint another mod in his place? Re Clive, this place was buzzing when he came back, take yesterday for example, usually it's dead on a Sunday, and who knows, lose the next 3 and maybe he'll be proved right about McDermott - we will be looking for a new manager. Saturday was not his finest hour. Tactically inept, poor team selection and bizarre substitutions
LIE, again, as Bucks was saying, I too understand where you are coming from, but the present mods have worked bloody hard building the Leeds forum up, and when an individual single handedly upsets so many posters, action had to be taken. Our hands were tied. Again, if you want to discuss it, pm me
Problem is it was buzzing in the wrong way, LIE. It was all about Clive. Its always all about Clive. Although I was OK with just blocking him personally, and did not need him banned, I can see why the mods did it, I'd have given him a bit longer but, maybe they judged he'd had the warnings and time to change. Also, based on seeing him for a long time, he was not likely to change, tbh
Save the 'CLIVE ONE' he should not be banned for being truthful and honest.......after all - LEEDS ARE CRAP!
He's an irritating boring twat, personally i'd have left him on to get the abuse he deserved, I think he enjoyed it, because he's a wum...... ....Clive that is....not Mighty
Morning Tommy. Still enjoying your moment in the sun I see. Re the Chairman's quote, I have to agree. The side we have, we should have been able to turn the 'Wall over. Had Austin's early shot gone under the bar rather than hit it, it might have been a different story all together. First half we looked okay. 2nd half was dire. Interesting that much of the 'Wall's threat came down our right and against Peltier. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened had we had a fit Byram. Anyway, we lost and we move on. I'm hoping for Byram at RB tomorrow. Brown sitting in front of the back 4. A midfield 3 of Austin in the middle, Mowatt out oneside and Murphy the other, leaving a front three of Ross in the centre with Varney one side and Diouf the other. I'd then have Poleon off the bench for Diouf in the 2nd half. The way football management is at the moment (why did Clugh get the sack??), I don't know how long GFH will tolerate BMD if we don't start to improve. We were doing okay, but appear to have gone backwards in the last couple of weeks. 2 to 3-0 Leeds tomorrow and negativity all disappears. On Clive, DILLIGAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One question for you Boggers. Why did McD play Byram against Newcastle? It was a nothing game and surely Wally match far more important
I have been a mod on a forum before, it is a thankless task and you soon learn you cannot please everyone. For each person calling for Clive to be banned there would have been someone calling for him to remain. Yes he livened the place up but not the kind of drama you want after losing to Millwall. The silly thing is he does make some very valid points, he just spoils it when he rams them down your throat though rather than sow the seed and allow you to make your own mind up. Keep up the good work Bucks Elland and Simon (where-ever you have got to)
Good question Eire. It may have been to give him more game time, or it might have been to give him exposure to what was always going to be a difficult game. Its a judgement call. Not sure that BMD got that one right, but only he will know for sure. You are right about one thing though, the 'Wall match was wy more important than the Bar Codes game. Let's just hope that Byram is feeling no ill-effects and is back starting tomorrow.
Unfortunately, I think that's a team of 12 mate. But still, thats the sort of line-up I'd like up top!
On official site Byram suggests its just lack of fitness now hampering him which seems good news. McD stated a while back the money he made from cup runs with Reading helped finance the signing of new players there. I'm just wondering was he told the same at Leeds, therefore making the cups more important in his eyes than the fans?
