Some of our fans just love to have a scapegoat, so they dig themselves a hole they can't get out of when a player plays well. It used to be Walcott, then he proved them wrong. It used to be Ramsey, but he proved them wrong. Now it's Giroud and he's proving them wrong too. They'll see it one day, but will never admit their bias led them into blind dead ends of thinking.
I'm not sure where i stand on selling Gerv. At the time, i thought it was a bad move, but after seeing Gnabry settle into the first team with ease, i'm thinking it wasn't such a bad move. In 3 games he's looked more comfortable than Gerv did in 2 years.
I obviously don't see every post on the board but those I do see that I think are offensive I'll comment on If you show me a post where TT called you a snide **** then i'll also ask him to behave. I can't be fairer than that.
You see, other world class strikers have gone off form, but they've already proven they're world class strikers so we know it's just a minor blip, but Giroud has yet to prove he's world class for us to say "oh this is just some small blip he will come good and be banging the goals in every week soon", so when someone like RVP goes on a blip, or even Henry back in the day, these guys are world class and have proven themselves, you know it's going to turn around eventually. Giroud can't be compared to those top strikers yet, because he hasn't proven he's in the same category. It's like comparing Sunderland's dip in form to United, you just can't compare the 2.
He hasn't scored in past 3 games in all competitions, and hasn't scored in the last 2 league games, so even in the league now he hasn't done 1 in 2, . I'm going to be veryyyyyyyy stringent on Giroud, don't go calling this club elite, if you can't handle the standards to be elite, ;-).
I think it's very early to judge Giroud as being below par. If he reaches 5 games without a goal then it's a blip - 10 & it's a drought. For now, as long as Arsenal are winning & the team is functioning then be happy It could be worse, you could be a Man Utd fan.
I'm not saying he's ****, he's a good striker, just thinks he needs to step his game up on a consistent basis now, he should've buried that chance he got.
Some people talk so much Sesis I remember when Henry first played for us and folks were saying he not world class we should of got Trezeguet. Another thing did you know King Henry our great player never scored in a semi-final or a final for us when I some of the finals it seem Easier to score. Sometime people just like some players sometimes they don't such is life.
Henry's position was accepted as a left winger before he joined us.Didn't Dennis Bergkamp play 14 games before scoring his first goal for us and he turned out to be the greatest player I've ever seen in an Arsenal shirt
