Brilliant. Great skill in totally twisting my sentiments around. If you cared to remember, Brix himself expressed the same concerns in the beginning.
No mate, I said that "it was inevitable that relationships outside of the Forum would form in time and I'm not knocking it." IE, not saying it was a bad thing but in relation to the Board and how it functions, it has had a distorting effect: "But it has totally changed the way the Board functions and for the worse in my opinion." My post had nothing to do with Brix' family who don't post on the Board as fans and I don't like the inference Nines made there. A cheap shot if I'm honest. Its a valid opinion in my view, isn't that what people were defending in Flyer's case on this very thread?
When HR was first appointed I was quite sceptical. For him to go from a top 4/5 PL club and prospective England boss to manager of a shambolic QPR seemed like a bit of a strange move (with a short gap); I think his interviews said as much. I started to change my opinion in the close season when it was evident HR would stay. Obviously, he's not to everyones taste - for a variety of reasons - but after the last couple of seasons I decided to try to be postive towards what was happening and not find fault in every little thing. We're going through a transitional stage and it's clear the Squad will need improving if we get promotion. However, considering what happened to Wolves, I'm pretty pleased with how HR's turned the Club round, and the players seem to feel the same way. We haven't got the excitement of an Adel but the Squad's only just assembled and it feels like there's more to come. Reasons to be cheerful, in my opinion.
Top post Husky, very well put. Very much the same way and timeline my own perception of Harry's arrival has been.
Oh dear. Can't believe you said that swords mate. You should try it, you just might enjoy the experience. Come to Kilkenny for the meet up. I'll lift you in Dublin on the way down and drop you back on Sunday morning. No excuses mate. PM me. I don't think that people meeting has had any negative impact on the board. The complete opposite in fact. People are now generally more tolerant of others. Read the threads on here at the moment. There's still plenty of opinion and disagreement. I think our members just won't tolerate the sh••e that went on before. We've matured as a board and have moved past that. Create Debate Comment
