Call me negative, but I still don't think the performance was good and I think the result papers over the cracks. However, I hope, and actually believe it's probable, that a result like this will get everyone to relax and we can start playing football. Snodders for one is far too tense, desperate to perform and is therefore overdoing everything.
This is true when backing the right horse, you get it wrong and it could be an expensive waste of money
I thought the first half was as good as I can remember it for a long time, definitely this season at least. Tettey had his best game in the shirt, Fer and Howson ran the midfield and Pilks was bang on it. Ok, it wasn't Snoddy's best game, but he certainly didn't have a bad one and was much better than last week. I can't find a fault with the performance or result today, well happy with that
The first half was exactly what I mean when I say grab them by the jugular, we pressed and hassled Stoke all over the pitch, we didn't give them a minute to think I want to see this a lot more this season, this was exactly what Spurs done to us and no matter how well drilled and organised you are, if your not dominating the midfield and they have the quality in their team it will always go against you at this level.
