  2. So, from the five year career Jordan had had so far, you are attempting to use one cross he has made as an argument for him being able to cross...? <laugh>

PS...I know you were posting this tongue in cheek (least I hope thats the case <laugh>)

Was a nice cross, but 2/12 today isn't too great. You could say he doesn't have much to aim at in Suarez and Sturridge, but I don't remember many of them beating the first man.

  4. When discussing Downing and his assist record, I used to regularly say it takes two to make a cross. This is obviously still the case with Henderson but it wouldn't have matter what Luis or Danny sis, the crossing wasn't good enough <ok>

Hendos crossing was not good enough today. Not played un his best position but to be faur to the lad he kept on trying...i like that in a player but its not always enough (see kuyt)

Is Lucas banned for picking up 5 yellow cards already?! We've only played 7 games in total!

Guess it's the perfect chance for Allen to come back into the side, and hopefully make a case for selection in the following game when Lucas returns.

While he ultimately didn't deliver what I liked about Hendo was that he attempted to cross early.

I was fed up to the back teeth with the likes of Downing waiting until the entire opposition was back in their box before not making it over the first man.

I'm remember Giggs being pants at crossing at the beginning so if Hendo adds it to his game all the better!

He hasn't played any games?! How is he injured...?

If so, then I guess move Henderson into the middle with Gerrard and play Wisdom/Kelly or Sterling if more adventurious in that RWB position.

He's been out injured since we played Notts County. He hasn't made our bench since I don't think.

  15. That bit, I like!

Johnson, Enrique, Suarez, Sturridge, Moses, and even Downing last year annoyed the bejebus out of me! They all like to try and beat a man before crossing. Even when they occasionally don't do this, they wait for the defender to close them down before attempting to put the ball in.

I tend to take the Beckham approach myself; don't try to get closer to the byline, don't try to beat a man, just put the ball in the danger zone. Especially with the attackers we have, they're not exactly brilliant in the air so give them something to run on to by putting the ball between the defence and keeper. Make the defender face the wrong way!

Harsh on Enrique, I think he does do that. when he receives the ball, his first thought is "is a forward making a run for me to put over the top" and if he's anywhere around the 18yard box on the wing his first thought is to just put it in there. And he seems to put in a few decent balls (one for Suarez today that he should have headed in but hit him on the chest).

Exactly, while I like patience this waiting for the perfect run or trying to find the perfect pass rarely works if the opposition defence is anyway disciplined and has time to set themselves.

It looks like we're going very counter attack at the moment so balls in quick are what we need.

  19. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I've cooled the situation and he also apologised. He is not a wum, he used to be a regular. However, having asked him to cool off (which he said he would), I will be keeping an eye out.

PS...someone having a different opinion is not always a wum <ok>

  20. Maybe a little harsh on Enrique as he can put it in early but he does also do what I said too. A annoying trait the Jose has is his dawdling, he always seems to take his time as if the wait for the opposition to get near him before he does something.

PS...I really like Enrique though, there aren't many better than him in the league IMO <ok>
