I'm more than happy not to contribute to the board, i don't really need to get involved when i agree with most of what's said. If reading the board is deemed as "lurking" then i suppose we all have to be accused of that rom time to time. I'll stand by everything i have said about Flyer, i am hard pushed to think of anything helpful he has posted. I believe i have every right to comment I am a QPR supporter, having followed them for 28 years, 14 of which as season ticket holder in Ellerslie Road. Over the last 14 years it has been almost unremitting gloom, only the Sheffield Wednesday game at Hillsborough (I was there) was a highpoint. We managed to cock up the promotion season with all the issues with Faurlain, which spoiled the season from January on, (we could see that the team felt it as well as the results gradually started to fall away), ending with defeat against Leeds. So, when we have, at last a great manager (the best for at least 20 years imo, a team that it really starting to play together, a Chairman who has learnt a lot and supports the team both financially and with his heart, it hacks me off to read the negative crap from Flyer when I expect comments to be positive, I expect people to be critical but not obsessively so. I wouldn't mind if what he says had any value, it doesn't. I just feel sad that we give him any credibility at all, it's just really depressing and it's why I stopped contributing. I won't bother again
I hope you continue posting Ealing, you've got very well thought out points and are clearly a true R! I agree with everything said about tony: there can't be many better chairmen/owners in the football league. I'm just giving you a bit of stick, like you gave Flyer. Gotta be able to take it as well as give it
IN SUPPORT OF FLYER I'd just like to say that the abuse aimed at Flyer simply because he takes a different line to the majority of contributors to this site is disappointing. Whilst, like others, I disagree with some of the things he says and feel that he can come across as unduly negative, I do admire the fact that he remains consistent in his views and I respect him greatly for that. I have also noticed that he generally resists the temptation to throw the insults back, despite a fair amount being chucked at him. C'mon guys; he is entitled to his opinions, which he generally sets out clearly and inoffensively. By all means disagree with him. By all means take the piss at times. But please, please, please tackle the ball and not the man - we're all better than that. Flyer is a valuable contributor to this site irrespective of whether you disagree with him at times. He is often found to be right in time... but not always (as is the case with us all).
If someone can't see what Henry brings to the table then I'd question their view on just about anything.
Couldn't of put it better myself. I've met Flyer and he is a great lad and VERY knowledgeable. I might not agree with what he says, but I'll fight for his right to say it. In the words of Rodney King : 'Why can't we all just get along'
I`ve never moaned about Arry still buzzing from yesterday, cant wait till sat to see Niko Kranjcar play again, what a performance! fingers crossed Clints ok,
It's perfectly valid IMO to view Henry's inclusion as a negative thing. Of course he strengthens the defence, but he detracts from our attacking possibilties.
Of course. I wouldn't dream of arguing he offers much or anything going forward but to write him off as a "donkey" is ignorant.
What is there to admire about him being consistant in his views? All it proves is that he's a stubborn man whose too proud to admit when he's wrong, theres nothing to admire about it. Its clear to anyone that Harry's doing a good job, to claim otherwise because the players he's brought arent young enough or dont have long enough contracts is ludicrous. Opinions are indeed like arseholes, everyone has one, but in the case of flyers, his is full of ****.... this board will lose credibility if we're forced to allow any old nonsense on her for the sake of everyone being able to voice any old view. We're top of the league, Lets enjoy these good times while they last!

Everyone has there own opinion, i'm glad harry is still here & doing a good job, yesterday was the first time we've started playing & i was embarrassed for boro just watching us move the ball about & thought we are too good for them & this league, got no problems of who he brought in & sold off, if flyer wants yo be critical he can but seems an idiot when making comments at times.
I have also met bully boy(Flyer) and he is a long time friend from earlier site too. It dont automatically mean, that im agreeing everything he wrotes (far from it sometimes) but suprisingly often he has his point. His opinion about redknapps signing policy is acceptable when you think about next season and possible promotion. Some of his signings (Dunne, Simpson, Henry and O'neill etc.) for this season are probably seen their prime in the premier league. You can say the same thing for many of our players ( Hill, Traore, Zamora, Johnson ,SWP and Faurlin etc.). Then again how on earth we would fight on promotion with much younger and promising players on the same certainity as now? No way jose! Thats where i disagree with bully boy but i can see his point. If Harry gets us promoted he just has to be very shrewd already in january and during the summer to replace the players who he thinks are not good enough for premier league.
Why do you put that as a negative thing? With so many players out of contract and seeing how difficult it is for players finding clubs at the moment finally the players is at the CLUBS mercy and not the other way around as it has for years. The club can keep as many out of those as players as they like, it is entirly up to ourself, more power to the club which is great imo. These ones I can almost guarantee you will stay. Green - Yes, a big one. Murphy - Yes Dunne - Yes Hill - Yes, in one or other capacity Faurlin - Yes ONeill - Yes And how you can make SWP and Zamora out of contracts as a bad thing is beyond me. Nothing personal, just tackling the ball. No need to try and oust one poster or another. There is room for all of us here. Igor told us a much when Flyer joined that he was a stubborn ****ard, nothing wrong with that, just some needed added spice imo. Ealing you sound like a good poster, certainly arguing your case well, don't stop posting. Both you and Flyer would be missed, please stay, ok?
That is a big problem that has entirely distorted the operation of the Board. It was inevitable that relationships outside of the Forum would form in time and I'm not knocking it. But it has totally changed the way the Board functions and for the worse in my opinion.
not sure you saying you're right actually makes it so old bean! O'Neill played perfectly well on Saturday and I don't think Henry has done anything to warrant the donkey tag either (not yet anyway)
Every poster on our board is welcome to post on whatever subject and any view on that subject that they want to. This is provided that these posts stay within the rules and guidelines agreed by our members of course. It's not the decision for any other user on this board to request or require a fellow member to cease from posting. If anyone has a problem with any other member the site has a facility so that you don't have to read or see that user's comments and post. It is called the 'Ignore Button.' For more information on how to use this facility and any other issues about our R & R's click on the blue bit below my sig. QPR Board House Rules.
Am i allowed to say Adel is a fat to**er then?... But seriously, I know flyer & others from a previous board and we used to argue nightly & almost every night about various subjects (Igor, Judo & Ric wil confirm this)! IO dont agree with everything he posts but he often does have some very valid points & concerns. It takes all sorts to make this place work & flyers opinions are his own & therefore he's entittled to post them. He's maintained his stance on subjects, as did I ovethe "Adelgate" as does Col, And SB on his view of Harry etc. Dont think you can knock him for that. Sure, prove him wrong if you can, but dont think insulting the person is the way forward. its been said many times before. It would be boring if we all thought the same. For the record, i agree with Ealing on this one but also see what flyers concerns are. Not gonna be pretty in the summer if we do go up
